Every year on 10/10 we upload a video that's at least 10 minutes and post it appropriately at 10 am or 10 pm, Alaskan time, as is the tradition. It's amazing how easy it is to keep a visual record of your life in 2023. I would recommend doing the same in whatever way works for you.

Life in Alaska with a 1972 Ford LTD Brougham as a daily driver. Not exactly practical, but so much fun. Lots of people responded positively to my old LTD starting video from when I lived in Alaska. It was a special car and it made the days there even better than they already were. Since so many of you responded so positively, here's some more video from back when I owned that car.

We masked up and took the kids to Europa Park for two days at the end of our vacation in September. With what we know now it was safe, but at the time we had to be careful. The kids still had a great time and that's what counts.

Would you say the '68 ford country sedan wagon i have (full size) is worth keeping as my dd in montana over getting a 70's Jeep wagoneer? I have my reservations either path i choose. But one thing is certain, i will be in montana by november. I hear the right tires and sometimes chains as needed are good enough but im not confident

Pump accelerator first before trying to start it ...if carburetor hasn't bled down the night before several good pumps and a good manual choke in that weather

Thanks for the video, but I have my lada Samara 90 year old injector, started up with an error on enriching the fuel mixture. But she got turned on . started in -38 F, greetings from Karelia, Russia.

Gawd Damn, Burn out the Starter motor.
These cars, Ford LTDs in particular, didn't like starting in 1972 either. They were junk then and time hasn't made them any better.
I disconnected the linkage between the throttle and choke, and ran a choke cable to the dash. Pull the choke closed, don't touch the throttle, and it'll start within 2 seconds in any weather.

Good for you. I'm 58, in Canada and grew up with them. I would love a 71 or 72 two-door (LTD or Galaxie 500), but would probably get 'keyed' the first time I parked at Walmart. I have a feeling they are gonna make gas harder to get/use in the coming years as well, so I just dream and watch CZcams :) In '89 I drove a 64 Buick Lesabre as my daily and loved it!
