Would this work keto style used with almond flour instead? Do you think it would even taste good keto style?
I actually did try these a few months ago using almond flour and sweetener in place of sugar. They were okay, not as good as the original ones but good enough to satisfy a sweet craving while on a keto diet. You’ll have to adjust the quantities though. I simply added enough almond flour to form a firm dough. Oh and when adding a sweetener, be careful about the quantity as some sweeteners call for a 1:1 sugar to sweetener conversion, while some don’t. Hope this helps 😊

The problem with almond flour is there is one gram of sugar per 3 tbsp. of flour. How can that be keto?
There’s no sugar in almond flour. If yours has sugar, try finding 100% pure almond flour or almond meal, which is easily available at most supermarkets ❤️

How long should it go in the oven?
I usually bake it at 170°C for 25-30 minutes, and I have a fan forced electric oven. But every oven is different so please start checking after about 20 minutes and if it has turned brownish at the top, it might be done. Do a skewer test if not sure (Insert a clean wooden skewer in the middle of the bread and if it comes out clean, the bread is done!).

Hi what difference does it make if you melt chocolate or just add chunks of chocolate into the batter because I made brownies last week and they were cakey when it came out of the oven and then when I placed it in the fridge they weren't cakey anymore so what makes it cakey and what makes it fudgy
Hey, thanks for your inquiry. Well, the texture of brownies vastly depends on the fat to flour ratio. The fat is usually melted chocolate and butter mixture. So if a recipe calls for more melted chocolate and butter, and less flour, the result should lean towards fudgy/dense/rich brownies(my favourite kind!). If there’s more flour/cocoa powder and less chocolate/butter mixture, the brownies will more likely be cake-like/airy/light. Hope this helps! 😊

Use a sweetener which states that it can be substituted for an equal amount of sugar. For example, 1 tablespoon of the sweetener = 1 tablespoon of regular white sugar. For this recipe, I used Equal, and I highly recommend it, as it has no aftertaste, it’s good for baking, and it tastes very close to real sugar! Also, you may need to adjust the amount of sweetener based on the sweetness of your chocolate. For example, if your chocolate is bitter (more than 60% cocoa), you may need to increase the amount of sweetener by around 3-4 tablespoons. Thank you and happy baking! :)
