This comic was almost a little too much plot overload, but it was worth it. Lokar looks so terrifying and its also hilarious to think about how he started compared to now in the comic. Zorak’s menacingness (?) was just beautifully executed through the art, and I feel pretty bad for Jace, the kid mentally went through alot and I can’t blame him for giving up. I also like the theme of morals in religions in the comic

The writing is so true to the original series, that I heard the original voices in my head for all of them.

I love that they have Cyber in this, tho I find his reasoning out of character. He took Logan's eye, and look took his, but other then wanting to hunt down Romulus. He doesn't bother going after people unless there is a greater reason or being paid. I hope this gold look is only part of the possession and not permanent. I do wish they would of had him return to his original body, instead of staying in this weaker Hornet one from Scarlet Spider. Cause normally Cyber would be the tanking Logan's hits, and the one doing the hurting and throwing Logan a brutal beating. But I wonder, this gold thing called him weak willed? How strong is this thing to call Cyber weak willed, cause the man is anything but. But overall I really liked this one and can't wait to see where it goes.

To be fair to Jen Bartel's covers, Sensational She-Hulk (and the She-Hulk run that it relaunched from) is not an action comics but slice-of-life comedy. There is value as tied into the story but not in its sales pool. The slice-of-life comedy Western comic audience is much smaller than otherwise so...

I know this is beating a dead horse but the price point outweighs the benefits of owning the physical medium. I love collecting comics but I am moving away from ordering singles and focusing almost exclusively on trades. Trying to convince my friends to even consider purchasing floppies is like pulling teeth. They're curious of the medium but willl simply seek it out digitally (and likely for free).

Very good breakdown and analysis! The current marketplace is brutal for local shops, they are the real victims. I have little to no sympathy for the Big Two because they choose to publish absolute dreck, it's the local shops that suffer. Like you said, there are myriad factors but the big elephant in the room that no one at DC or Marvel is willing to acknowledge is that they've been prioritizing political agenda over quality for the past decade now. Until they acknowledge this and course correct, there's no hope for the small comics shop that doesn't come up with a strategy to appeal to their local market. Great video!

I swear the entire Marvel and DC editorial and writing staff should all be fired. Modern Marvel and DC comics are a bad joke. Only thing I read now are old trades of back issues

In “Plastic Man No More! #1,” the Justice League’s behavior towards Plastic Man is portrayed as cruel. They dismiss his serious concerns as jokes, fail to provide immediate support, and rely on outsiders like Detective Chimp to address his health issues. This highlights their lack of empathy and understanding towards a teammate in distress. Guy. thanks for posting here.

It would be really awesome if he could communicate with anything that flies in the air! Furthermore, I like the comic book and I give it a 9 out of 10!

Not bad, but I notice that none of the characters have PECS! Not 3 dimensional pectorals, anyway. All the male characters look kind of flat chested like their chest is painted on with some shallow relief lines showing where the chest online is.

I think plastic man is almost completely immortal so I think the JL was laughing since they thought Is was a bit but I could be wrong

DC's and Marvel's biggest problem (well, one of the biggest, anyway) is that they think the ways to make a story "important" are: 1) kill a main character 2) make a main character depressed, neurotic and emotionally broken and 3) pit the heroes against one another in ideology and/or personality conflicts. I'm tired of this, it's been old for 20 years now. I say figure out how to do something *constructive.* This book looks like the tone is completely confused and it can't figure out what it wants to be. Disappointing! Thank you for the review, though, keep it up!

The Krakoan Era had a lot of problems. One thing I really liked though, was the newfound close friendship between Emma and Kitty which at times even gave off hints of a romance. The potential for more of that is the one thing I actually care about in this book.

Zub's Conan has been great along with the artwork. I like Conan but I've usually found myself drifting off the titles over the years. Expendable when I have to make cuts. But I'm hooked on this series 13-14 issues in, I've been getting Savage Sword, and I'll be getting this mini too. I haven't read the new Savage Sword yet, but I'm all for a Conan universe spinning out of this and more titles. I wish Titan had Red Sonja too.

New subscriber, great channel you have here - it's criminal how much they botched Pryde's character in the past few decades - I dropped Marauders during the Krakoa era when i realized it was a modern X-Men and pirates comic because Kitty couldn't use the Krakoa gateways (Percy's X-Force was the only readable comic for me in that era)- I'm going to give UXM a few issues because of Simone (1st issue was so unfocused and glum) but these comics seems to be going back to the pre-HoX/PoX status quo era, its odd.......also its odd how much X-editors are letting their real world disappointment with the failure of Krakora bleed over into these stories.....

A few things: Chicago is probably the setting because Eve Ewing is from and works in Chicago. Simple as that because she isn't a creative writer. I can't get past a mopey Kitty Pryde who settles for a bartending job. With her skills and level of intelligence she would have a better job, probably in IT, that would still keep her under the radar, and able to afford the apartment that it looks like she is living in. But compare this "loss of her mutant family" with what she experienced in X-Men post Fall of the Mutants. She thought the X-Men were dead. She didn't mope much then. Instead she and Rachel and Kurt went off to England, mourned and ultimately founded Excalibur. Lastly, when I read the preview a few months ago, based on the artwork I thought it would turn out the metallic tentacle girl would turn out to be trans. She was drawn very manly. Nothing would surprise me from this X-Office. All in all, Kitty will be mis-written and misunderstood by yet another writer with an agenda and I expect nothing good to come from this book.

I’ve purchased all from the ashes xmen so far. I’m taking all of it off my pull list. I’d rather just read old stuff. This is ridiculous.

I know you like reviewing Conan and maybe it gets good views but I’d rather see other titles

Agreed with that cover art. Bland as fuc*. Actually the cover art in many titles suck on every level. Two artist that I can´t undertand how´they got so many cover gigs. Phil Noto and Jeff Dekal- The first do 99% of his drawing people front view lookin at camera. His comic art is dreadful too. Dekal is a photo tracer. Boring as fuc*. He just paint the costumes on the model body.

I can see where you are coming from if you are speaking on macro scale of abstracted market forces. I think there is something to be said about the value of "working artists." And in this context I am using the idea of "working actors." Folks who play extras, brief speaking lines, stuntmen even. In a similar vein, as "working actors," I think "working artists" should be paid fairly (which includes nominal pay raises to match general inflation). This belief stems from a belief that anyone who works, should be able to afford the basics of life. I feel like your example cherry picks extreme cases that doesn't really speak to the realities of what's happening on the ground. The Jim Lee example, while not reflective of his worth as an artist, is not a realistic barometer of market forces. In the same way that RDJ getting paid 100 million to play Dr. Doom, isn't a good counter weight to a character actor asking to be paid more. All that to say, "you want more money, be like the top fraction of a percentage of the earners in your industry" doesn't fly with me. I feel like that stance doesn't address the key issue with capitalism in general. There IS money to go around to pay these few individuals exorbitant amounts of money. It takes a lot more people to make movies and comics than RDJ and Jim Lee.

This Series has action packed and exciting fast paced issues, and then again quieter issues, like #4 and #8 but they still matter and give us a character development.....

Thoroughly enjoyed that issue! The future is bright for Conan to be sure. As for who deserves their own series, I would say Soloman Kane, but that's already in the works. So I would say Brissa. I like here character, her motivations and attitude. Delicate and brutal.

Had to stop reading this series, they turned scarlett and jinx into "lol XD" ninjas and the last thing g.i. joe and mortal kombat needs is more ninjas 😂😂😂😂😂. "Why would you jump into a visible tank with a shark?" Is another reason why i had to stop reading, the trained ninjas that trained jinx are getting tossed around like white belts and jinx leaving a graffiti trial fir scarlett to locate her. this isn't the scarlett and jinx that i grew up reading
