Couple of facts you may want to take on board. The owners of Worcester City and Sixways wanted Worcester City to become tenants of Sixways, but it fell through when it was somehow leaked. They approached Worcester Raiders instead. Warriors owners also became joint owners of Raiders for a while. The owners also own Morecambe FC. When Warriors went bust, Raiders signed an agreement to rent Sixways for a period while new owners were found. The ongoing legal wranglings are well documented. Sixways Holdings Ltd now have no connection to the former owners Whittingham & Goldring, and the Sixways pitch is used by Raiders (average gate 200), Worcester City Women FC (average gate 150) and has been used on occasion by Worcester City (biggest gate so far 3189 for the FA Vase semi final first leg). While the old capacity of Sixways was 12000, there are presently no safety certificates for either end of the ground, and the ground is capped at 4999 (whereas the big East stand actually holds 7200). When Raiders and City met in the league back in August, the gate was 2475. Despite this, Raiders still only average 200 or so. The second local derby of the season will be this coming Tuesday, and is also being played at Sixways as Worcester City's home ground at the County FA HQ is waterlogged. Hellenic League Champions City are expecting the biggest crowd of the season, unsurprisingly. There were rumours that Raiders were planning to leave Sixways due to the rent cost, but they have agreed a new two year lease. Where promoted City will be playing next year is anyone's guess, the County FA HQ is nowhere near the standard required at Step 4.

Really enjoy going to York Road and watching Maidenhead ,but have to concede it's had its day. Only two entrances a long long walk from each other (which became a pest when games started to be segregated) and any gate over 2000 is a squeeze with long waits for drinks/chips or a trip to the loo !! It will be a huge shame if the new ground isn't built and all the fantastic work done by Alan Devonshire and the club to get them where they are evaporates away.

Munster rugby have played in Pairc Ui Chaoimh twice in the last year or so. A soccer match was played there recently too. The foreign sports rule is not strongly enforced anymore

Manchester City never paid for the 3G pitch, the only time they paid was for the sponsorship. All the money raised was by the football club and its been worth it as we have over 30 junior teams on it which pays for itself. The club is on a good financial footing since the pitch went in.

seems like standard of refereeing in this country over the last few seasons are at and all time low, particularly the lower down the pyramid you go. i wouldn’t want to see blue cards. instead they should rethink how to train these officials and bring them up to standard

Its interesting how all the big sports that have some sort of Sin Bin or temporary removal of players from the field all seem to have a high amount of out-field players, Aussie Rules - 15 players Rugby Union - 15 players Rugby League- 13 players Gaelic Football - 15 players Hurling - 15 players Where as sports that have fewer dont Association Football - 11 players Gridiron Football -- 11 players Basketball - 5 players Ice Hockey - 11 players (this does exist in hockey in the form of power plays but for nowhere near ten mins just 2 or 5 and its a fast paced small play area sport) 15 going to 14 doesn't affect the game nearly as much as 11 to 10. This means players wasting time to get back to full strength isn't as much of an issue in the former sports as it is the latter. GAA sports like Gaelic football are more similar to association football than Rugby U/L in terms of rules, structure and flow. Apart from the use of hands and extra goal parts the main difference is player count, so that's clearly the deciding factor as to whether temporary sending offs work or not in a sport. Funny how that sound logic has made sense for a hundred or so years but now they think they suddenly have a new idea. FIFA are morons.

Could blue cards be VAR checked? Could they be upgraded to a red during the 10 minute suspension like they sometimes do in Rugby? Would there be time added on for stoppages and time wasting? I wish these were joke questions but I’m genuinely curious 😂

Sadly no, I don't think a majority of Northern Irish unionists just want to get on with their lives. Nor do a majority of nationalists. A significant minority on each side do, and a large majority of the middle class on both sides do. But as a whole both sides would accept worse life outcomes for themselves to avoid the other side getting more than them. Both sides are genuinely scared of the other and would cut off their nose to spite the other side's face. For example, one of the major reasons the Assembly was suspended 2017-20 and couldn't get back up was because Sinn Fein demanded an Irish Language Act while the leader of the DUP said about it "If you feed a crocodile they're going to keep coming back and looking for more." I'm afraid Northern Ireland is a long, long way from buying a Coke and living in perfect harmony. Over the past 20 years I've watched both sides - but especially the unionists - become more and more entrenched.

My 100th football ground visited, 2001 FA Vase against Bracknell Twon(2-0). Ground was a typical athletics stadium, not great for watchnig football, but the food in the sports centre cafe was brilliant!
