the examples were with " a lot"...I wonder if native speakers tend to use there's specifically when followed by " a lot" (which sounds kind of singular?). Would they say "there's many people here" or there's many beautiful cars here"?

In most of languages ones you learned alphabet, you can read. But in English it does not help.

English needs serious reformation. There are many languages to learn from to improve it. Each letter has to mean one sound it is nonsense to read S in 3 different ways like Sad, Sugar, Music.
