Yeah I'm not super confident. I'd like to see an update. Bondo or any type of epoxy compound would probably work best. This looks like plastic laminate. I'm not sure if "plastic wood filler" means that it can fill plastic cracks. Plastic has multiple definitions. Also @NJUncovered I'd get a better putty knife. A metal one that's just a little wider. It should make it easier to get it smooth so there's less sanding later.
