    Hi. I also have a model, Massey Ferguson 135 made in 1978 that's still working on the fiels and I have a problem with it. May be you encountered it also and you can give me some clues (or some indications) how to approach this problem. My tractor haze a problem with hydraulic system. It's lifting the plow or other weights with the tie rod (three point hitch), but when I stop the engine, or when I push the clutch pedal the weights are going down. If there is nothing in the tie rod and I stop the engine the tie rods are staying up for one or two days, time in witch they are slowly coming down. Can you tell me if this problem is occurring from hydraulic pump (valves etc.) or it's from hydraulic piston (the segments of the piston head need to be changed)? The rest parts of the hydraulic works ok, the pto is also working fine. One thing I noticed that when I start the tractor and I lift a plow (for example), it's lifting it more quickly when the oil inside is cold and it's taking a little longer to do that after I'm working (plowing) with the tractor and the oil temperature from hydraulic system is higher. Thank you verry much!

    • @richardhughes6353
      @richardhughes6353 Před rokem

      I take it you have got the oil control valve fully open. On my 165 its the round handle for the oil control valve and the square for the hydraulic operation. Mine comes down after the engine stops but I always have a lot of pressure when operating the hydraulics when hot or cold. The problem you have could be The grade of oil you are using for example it might be too thin because as it heats up it gets thinner or it could be that the hydraulic pump isnt delivering the pressure to the hydraulics as it should. I have other suggetions if required.

      @@richardhughes6353 Hi Thank you very much for your answer. Indeed it's possible to be the oil, I haven't changed it since I bought the tractor. It's my first tractor and the gui that helped me when I purchased if told me that the oil looks fine. But now I see that also it's collour is changed. So first of all, I'll try replacing that oil and when I drain it I can also check the levers, oil filter etc. Can I test it with that "side covers" open?

    Slow, but good solid bales by the look of them. Is that a round axle big engine Mk11 165

    • @richardhughes6353
      @richardhughes6353 Před rokem

      Thanks for commenting it is a round axle 165 im not sure about the MK but the engine is a four cylinder diesel perkins A4 212. This was my first time ever bailing for starters and the bailer had been standing for around 10 years. If i remeber rite I was bailing in 2nd or 3 on the Lo box

  • @briangallagher1235
    @briangallagher1235 Před rokem

    You should try cutting the plastic off the bottom of the bale before tipping it.

    • @richardhughes6353
      @richardhughes6353 Před rokem

      Thanks I might in the future. The reason i leave the plastic on the bottom of the bales is so they wont absorb moisture from the wet ground, I found the cattle eat the contents a lot cleaner. I usually feed them small square bales
