What are your thoughts on the eco water iron filter with coconut carbon?

I removed a big box softener from my home that was no longer working. I didn’t realize how badly I needed it. I installed a whole home filter that mounts to the wall. That did not suffice. Currently I am tearing out my entire bathroom due to mold and I’m finding valves that are so plugged up with Iron they don’t even work. How do I know if I need to install a new well versus getting a water softener. There is a lot of buildup on the inlet pipe for water softener and I can imagine that it is not good for the pump. My concern is spending ridiculous amounts of money on a softener and our problem not be solved because the iron is just too high. We have no running water because of the mold, once we get it fixed I’m nervous about running the water before we take care of the iron issue.

Would you have any advice on what to do if the soft water feeling is only on hot water and not on cold?

Lived in Las Vegas for nearly a decade with a water "conditioner" that did not soften the water, it was one big carbon filter! Junk! Put in a salt based water softener, wonderful !

Costco doesn't cover where I live. Ecowater did not respond to my request for a local distributor. Several local shops here sell Puronics. Do you have experience with Puronics? Their website says "manufactured" in USA.

Time set is only for the actual time. Not for the time you want a regen. In other words, as i can see it, you can set the desire day of regen but not the time. If so , how?

I'm sold !! I have well water with a lot of the issues. I have been getting a water test every year since I moved here....5 years ago. The test I get is from the tap water mostly. Sometimes I test the water before my one filter at the well. too. I was from Baltimore City with city water. I did not know a lot about well water until I moved. In the last 3 weeks watching your videos I have learned a lot more. I thank you for that. I know I need a water softener and a whole house filtration system. I went to Costcos the other day. Every time I call someone ref water, they want to send a rep out tell me how bad the water is and then try to jam their product on me. I have watch too many of you videos so I have not fell for that. Quackery. Don't waste your money.. You can't move your body outside a very narrow oH range - if you could, you'd die. And how does that water you've drunk stay alkaline when it's been through your pH2 stomach? If there are human studies published in recognised clinical physiology journals in which alkaline water is shoen to be of benefit, I'd love to see them. Not _in vitro_ experiments - large, reputably published COMPARATIVE studies in which the stuff is shown by direct measurement to be of benefit in human volunteers.

Great information. However, my biggest issue with all the system you recommend. Is they requiring me having someone come out just to get pricing on the product. I personally do not trust any company that in order to get the information I want. Requires them coming to my house. Because one I see that is aggressive sales. They are not going to want to leave until they get a sale. Two pricing for the product should be up front. A nut cost what a nut cost. You don't need to talk to me about what I am going to use the nut for to give me a price. I find they do this to up sale you or try and over charge. As there is a commission on the sale. These are companies I avoid. Also, I don't want to waste my time or their time. If I have a budget of say $3000 max. I don't need them coming out spending over an hour telling how amazing their product is and then saying what I want will cost $30,000. Only to have me say no thanks. Them say hold up. Make a phone call and say okay I just spoke with my manger. If you can put down $5000 today, we can do it for $15000 total. NO! You could have offered $15k 2 minutes ago. Now I have to wonder how much you're still trying to overcharge me. Last of all I am a grown man. I know how to turn the water off coming into my house. I know how to clear the line. I know how to tie into lines. I can install a water softener. I don't need to pay someone to do something I can do myself. It's not rocket science. Plus, what I don't know how to do. There are books I can read and videos I can watch. Now, you are very helpful, and I have no issue with you. I don't want you to think that. But there are a large number of people that search this topic. That what to be able to gather all the information they need without having to deal with anyone. Then if what they need requires dealing with people, they will do that. At this point I am likely to go with an Aquasure setup. It's likely not the greatest setup. But it's under my budget. I can install it myself. The maintenance isn't so bad that can't handle it.
