5:10 this situatuojn with the author happened similarily in the risk of rain 2 community. A hud mod had a button on the menu that wasnt aligne d with the rest of the normal menu options and was added as a sort of credits and donation link. People make mods to remove it and because of that the mod creator broke down and now the mod doensnt work anymore.

maid hud is just a reskin of cruelty hud

i really despise how most custom huds push your health and ammo counters closer to the center of the screen, just serves to clutter your view, and artistically all of them are utterly inferior to the default hud, either too minimalistic or deviating too much from the original artstyle, so I just stick with the community hud fixes mod, since it doesn't change anything from stock and I can make adjustments on the fly if I so wish

to give some context to the maidcore hud, it's based on nijiura maids, which is a sort of meme or community from the japanese imageboard futabachan. The font in the hud is supposed to be similar to the font used on futabachan which is why it looks like that. The anime girls are some of the nijiura maids, specifically the purple one is yakui, a maid who i addicted to pharmaceuticals, and the goth looking one is ozoi, who is a kind of lovecraft occult practitioner maid. You can maybe imagine the sort of meme that started on futabachan from inventing maids who you would never want as maids.

I know it's completely unwarrented but fuck it, it's a youtube comment section, I'ma take a shit down here. I honestly get frustrated any time I hear someone talk about being ADHD these days now.. Because when I was a kid, I was always made fun of for not being able to concentrate or just never really being cooperative, but as I got older, that dymanic slowly flipped around, and now I feel like the only human being on the planet who can actively stay focused on a single thing for more than 15 minutes.. It went from "Hey one or two people might have this thing called ADHD" to "literally everyone has it, stop judging, what are you, a jerk?".. It's gotten so damn bad I feel like "I" am the friggen one with a medical disorder now.. I'm the odd man out, for being able to properly function and do something productive.. And it's disheartening because I'm a gamer.. And you know what people with ADHD really, REALLY suck at?.. (Non-casual) Gaming.. All they want to do, is play some generic-ass survival game like rust or the forest, run around in circles and talk about building a base.. That's it.. You wanna play terraria with them? Good fucking luck.. You wanna play minecraft with them? Watch them build a house, sit in it, and then watch their brain just FLATLINE after 5 minutes.. You wanna play anything that requires you to focus on moving forward in the video game for more than 5-15 minutes? Hope you like carrying, because they're gonna be chugging along behind you like they're on a sight-seeing tour while you basically just do everything.. It's hard not to feel like a conspiracy theorist when 10-20 years ago, people just.. Did things.. And there weren't any excuses, or loopholes, or ulterior motives to the reasoning behind it.. Nowadays, it feels like any time you criticize anyone for doing something weird or unproductive, they'll whip out medical diagnosis like they're showing off pokemon trading cards.. "And this one lets me ignore people and not feel guilty about it.. Aaand this one lets me be loud and obnoxious in public and get away with it.. Aaand, oh! This one lets me shove my opinions down other people's throats, but still feel like I've got some moral high ground somehow~!" I just don't trust it, the whole ADHD/Aspergers/ect thing.. I've seen how incompetent the doctors are who diagnose that shit.. When I was younger, my parents took me up to an office, made me answer a small questionnaire on a piece of paper, most of which they answered 'for' me, and an hour later, I was 'diagnosed' with ADD.. Didn't even speak to, or get examined by a doctor.. Just threw a prescription at me that made me sleepy, and called it a day. Alright, verbal shitting complete, now to enjoy the rest of this video.
