It does not matter what ones background is when we have a change of mind towards God which is Biblical repentance which leads to being born again having a new heart where we obey God from the heart; Romans 6:17, we will put of the former way of life of the natural man/ unsaved person, and will walk by the Spirit. John the Baptist said: do works meet for repentance. Matthew 3:8. This is the way of all those who are born again. True repentance is the change of mind towards God/to salvation: the life of the new man follows after salvation. It's nothing to do with certain sins we were practicing before we were saved. The moment we were saved we were forgiven for all our sins and God put them away. Hebrews 9:26. Hallelujah!!!

The New Heavens and New Earth are simply a figure for one's blessedness in Christ. They are not about the creation of a new physical domain. When Christ returns He shall destroy the physical realm so that what will remain will be spirit only. We shall be spirits in the afterlife, just as Christ is now.

Please, I turned down a huge agent for musical comedy 35 years ago after graduating with Honors from NYU. My life has been so tragic. Why did I do this? I am in poverty now and I regret my whole life.

I have thought about and studied this question also. And all you said about it isn't news to me. And there's more. If you read more of the epistles you'll find *WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED.* and *FLESH AND BLOOD CANNOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.* Therefore the " ME " that exists now in this world shall no longer exist in the next world. So where is the glory ???? Where is the gain ???? All things revert back to Him who gave it. We individuals are as mere dust. . . . In other words when you say " IN THAT SENSE " . . . i hear NO SENSE or nonsense. But your opinion is duly noted. Not to offend, but the bible makes a big point of the conflict between flesh and spirit. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the spirit is spirit. And the flesh lusts against the spirit, etc. So what is gain for the spirit . . . is loss for the flesh. Deal with it. . . or not.

I realy enjoy your talks and teaching but I wondered if you came from a Christian family or not? My family are all going to heaven they say but God isn't someone who is thought of as precious in there life's it's like a clutch they hold onto. Thamkyou

I got baptized around 12 or so, my father is a pastor and he suggested it. I grew up doing whatever my sinful nature wanted with no conviction still attending church but far from salvation. When I was 33 years old all of a sudden the holy spirit brought me to repentance and removed the veil over my eyes, and revealed my sinful state. I then trusted in Jesus' atonement for my sin through faith in Him alone. I went back and asked to be baptized again after this radical change I continue to experience in Christ. You are not saved through baptism but through faith in Christ alone. Baptism is an outer statement of an inner conviction. Salvation through Faith alone in Christ Alone.

Understanding Jesus words, it help us to understand Paul meaning. Jesus said to Nicodemus: ? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things. John 3: 11-13 Jesus said to Mary: Touch me not; for I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go find my brothers, and tell them that I ascend to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. John 20:17 I believe Christ was being very clear in this passage where he was going after death on the cross. As we shouls go too. Who possesses immortality, God alone possesses immortality, who dwells in an inaccessible light, which no man has seen or can see, to whom belong honor and eternal power. Amen! 1 Timothy 6:16 Jesus said. My Father's will is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him will have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6: 39,40,44,54. Paul support Jesus and said But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep in the Lord, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14 For if the dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised, and therefore also those who are dead in Christ are lost. 1 Corinthians 5:16-18 We waiting the second coming of Christ to receive eternal life not before, according to the Holy Spirit. The devil's deadliest deception is to deceive us with his false words by mixing error with the truth by His interpretation of the Bible, as He did today, so many christians are ignorance of what Jesus said.
