MTF Series: Active dirt removal
The MT is also equipped with active dirt removal. It prevents coarse dirt from getting into the tank water in the first place and filters it out before the main wash cycle. The dirt is fed into the inlet zone and collected in the strainer drawer. This can be quickly and easily emptied during operation. This improves the wash result and reduces detergent consumption.

The ClimatePlus heat pump uses not only the thermal energy of the escaping steam but also the energy from the room air to heat the MT's tank and rinse water. The heat pump has a grease filter and an automatic self-cleaning function and reduces energy consumption. MTR Series: Speed dependent rinse water volume

The MT automatically adjusts the rinse water volume to the selected transport speed. At each stage, only as much rinse water is used as is actually required for a first-class wash result. At 2:25, it says "100ml A70LS per litre tank capacity", the clip goes on to show you adding 350ml of descaler - meaning the tank capacity is 3.5litres and the ratio of descaler to tank capacity is 1:10 According to my manual (p30), the tank capacity is 15.3 litres (UC-M), so at a ratio of 1:10, I should add 1.53 litres of the descaler. However, on p29, the instructions advise adding just 153ml and 95 ml on the UC-S model. Unable to locate a stockist of A70LS descaler in the UK, I contacted the helpdesk at Milton Keynes who, after some searching, advised using C10 descaler. The instructions for this state "For under table dishwashers and glasswashers, add 1 litre of descaler to the wash tank. For larger machines, add 2 litres of descaler. " Intrigued by these discrepancies, I googled the data sheet for the A70LS which advises adding 10 to 100 ml / l A 70 LS, depending on the severity of the scale deposits. So now I'm more confused than ever!
Dear "The Old Tyke", the normal dosing for your UC-M is 153ml A 70 LS per 1.53l. Depending on the severity of the scale deposits you can add up to 100ml / litre. Circulate for about 10 - 30 min until the scale deposits are completely dissolved. We hope this information was helpful. Hi, I went with the advice on the bottle and added 1 litre, which I had to run through 3 times. When I finished & the unit was drained, I noted there were still some thick deposits around / near the top of the 'sump' (under the large metal strainer) so I had to go through the whole process again, using 2 litres in total. Mind you, the advice on the bottle said it might need 1 to 2 litres depending on the severity. I've re-installed our old water softener so hopefully, another descale session won't be required. I can't understand why the softener was taken out of service in the first place and why, given the severity of the hardness in my area, we were given the go-ahead to use the dishwasher without any water softener. Truth be told, "Winterhalter dishwasher" was a dirty phrase over the last 3 months given that all the cups had to be scrubbed out with a green scouring pad and plates were soaked in a sink of hot, soapy, water. Of course, there is no way that our washing solution could cope with dirty crockery AND harsh limescale. Today, just for a test, I emptied slops from cups and plates given a quick once over with the spray in the sink, the laziest way of working I could try... Everything came out sparkling, everyone commented on how fantastic the machine was, so much easier now that we could simply chuck everything in with minimum effort on our part. The machine now has a sparkling stainless steel interior, all glasses are crystal clear, there's no chalky residue on anything, cups don't need an additional scrub with the green pad - what a huge difference.

Heat exchanger is the biggest pile of crap going...the only good thing about it is the ease at which it can be by-passed when it gets clogged up with grease and food debris...to think you guys used to make good machines the GS 501 was your flagship the later ones your Titanic.
