Awesome print 5.1 could use some polish though it's kinda buggy on windows 11 but it's well optimized for the machine
how do i get it at the starting level to begin with the paper, when i click home leaves big gap
Can the NEJE 4 Max laser with the E80 laser module cut and engrave plywood directly without using a honeycomb bed? I want to move the laser over a full sheet of plywood to cut out larger parts using the ‘pass-through’ technique.
The question is how will the k1 cut the filament and where will it discharge?
It's Alive! Again. Thanks for the walk-through tutorial! It was quick and easy.
ok working but when i want flash it i get in stage1 20% ERRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOORS idk whyyyyy its so shit machine
i did all this but it didnt show me this "boot device" in device manager
need i disconnect all cables from board ? or can i keep connected and only connect microUSB to computer and make recovery?
i have done it both ways, fully disconnected and still in the printer with all cables connected but i did need to remove some screws from the mainboard to lift it to get the usb plug in.
@@DnG-Crafts bricked today because full memory lol
@@DnG-Crafts i did boot reset on board and nothing in devices about connected
YESSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!
nice, but I installed slicer V5.0 and didn't work, all bottons are out off places and the screem plate are out off center, you can't see the bottom botons.
Hello, I have a K1C, can I make it multicolored?
I would love to buy this machine with the main aim of cutting on that thin stainless stell sheet but am not getting any oriper review on that. What am seeing all over are the reviews on wood, boards, acrylics etc with very minimal to no review about its capabilities and performance on the steel cutting. How fast and at what power and speed. How smooth the cut is. The challenges etc
Best tutorial for bed leveling I've seen. Thank you.
thank you... help me a lot!
I did this method, and oh my God, my levelling is beautiful sat at .154 that's so much better than my last k1 I had to send back to creality due to the bed being wonky and getting failed prints finally I don't have to worry about that and I can do my linear rail mod and fix the issues it's got due to the vibration compensation I'm getting bad ringing and banding within my prints so I'm gonna do the linear rail modifications to see if this fixes the bad about my k1 speedy as iv rooted the k1 aswell so I have full control over the marcos finally 😅
Cost?
I thought auto bed leveling would compensate I'm a noob at this.
I have a V2 with a 2.4 mainboard from 2018-8-13 but klipper is never able to communicate with the board. I have re flashed it 4 times and recompiled always the klipper firmware but no success. Looks like you have the silent mainboard but my was the modell before. Does anyone has install it successfull with the old version?
Thank you for your information! Could you also give only the support a color? Thanks!
Thanks for the interesting video. Currently (May 2024) the Neje Max 4 is delivered with drag chains. The price is approximately $500. The honeycomb now also fits between the front and rear rails. An aluminum plate is also included for use as a base. My problem with the laser is that the frame is not at a right angle. As a result, the Y-axis hits the frame first and the limit switch often does not reach the frame. Furthermore, the laser module is not vertical. The laser module does not run smoothly on the linear rails.
Hey, could you please add the ability in your script for the process to restart once it gets stuck mid process on the c++ version of Pi-PppWn? Thanks.
I was unable to use Windows 11 for this, it wouldn't find the "clone device". Moved over to a Windows 10 computer, bing, bang, boom, finished. Thanks for the tutorial!
does anyone know if the CFS will be compatible iwth the Ender 3 V3 Plus?
everyone says on K1 and K1Max but what about K1C?
Is the same printer, so will be compatible
Nice video. Which motherboard is in your printer?
Where did creality announced this CFS upgrade? Not able to find any info.
i put the link for it in the description, they announced it at their spring event live stream. here is the link to the video at the time code they announced it czcams.com/video/_731Rokr0Bg/video.html
Great video but I have been unable to get it to happen either using my desktop PC or laptop - both running windows 10 - the laptop won't install the driver but runs the clone software, and the desktop installs the driver but wont run the clone software :(
Hopefully they release the CFS system soon, love to get one.
Been waiting for Bambu alternative for so long.
This printer has about the same quality as this video. They are both a cheap export of a second rate distributor.
That is informative and unfortunate 👍
Bit rude, mans just trying to do his job. And personally I think Creality has its issues but they are a good overall 3d printer brand!
@@benbryss Unfortunately we live in a world of divisiveness and haters where people feel as though they must be part of tribe ( Brand) and all others are the enemy. The fact is we are all looking for the same thing. The advancement of this hobby and 3D printing. What is good for one is good for all.
Only seen one bad review, The price is mid-range, and no it’s not a export. Mine came from within the states.
I love my K1 max. Haters gonna hate.
Can I ask will it have a new tool head in the kit ?
at this stage we dont know what is going to be in the upgrade kit but i am sure they will make more information available soon.
Thanks
Thank you for the content. What are your thoughts on upgrading current K1 printers with the Bondtech kit and jow that will work with the new filament system?
i have not looked into the bondtech kit but i dont think it should be an issue for the cfs upgrade. we wont know for sure until creality posts some more information on what is needed for the upgrade. i suspect they will release the k2 and hold off on releasing the k1 upgrade kit for a little while.
@@DnG-Crafts ok, thank you for the reply
Using windows 11 I just clicked and installed the driver software opened up the base of the k1 max plugged in the micro USB and USB to my PC turned on the k1 max power the board lights up 1 blue light solid and 1 flashing my PC made the USB connect sound started the software and followed the rest of the video all worked and I'm back to where I was when I first started the k1 max gone through all the setup and now printing Thanks for all the help and I hope this might help someone 👍👍
7 months down the track, if you had to choose one, which one would you choose?
if i did not have the ams on the bambu then i would choose the k1 because the bambu has its issues with one of the most annoying being every few weeks it will stop connecting to bambu studio and the only fix is to factory reset the printer. if i include the ams into the mix then i would choose the bambu because having the ability to multi color print or swap filaments with ease makes it really good. the k2 is coming out soon with its cms which is an ams clone and we are expected to see the k1 get the cms too but time will tell. if the k1 does get the cms and it works as good as the bambu ams then i would probably choose the k1 over the bambu.
In this video you adjust the front lead screws manually. How to I adjust the rear lead screw? My mesh is high at the back
if you are having trouble moving the rear screw because it has the stepper attached you can loosen the belt the same way but turn it using the wheel under the screw as shown in this picture with the red arrow. i.ibb.co/tK9Ybh6/screw.jpg alternatively you could adjust the front two screws higher which will make the back lower, just add the same amount of clicks(tooth skips) to each front screw.
Great video! Question for you, where did you find that cabinet?
i built it for my max 3 laser, i ended up building a new one out of steel for the max 4. i made a short of its construction. czcams.com/users/shortsT-_PlwGcQqY
@@DnG-Crafts Great, thank you!
Awesome. Worked for me! Better than the actual creality support
but why auto bed leveling not compensate that?
The bed leveling has a range that it can level the bed effectively. Some beds are SO FAR OUT OF the level that the bed leveling can't compensate. This little tweak in the video gets the bed in a better range and therefor the bed leveling can do it's job.
Thanks for this very interesting video! I've upgrade my CR10s Pro and bought the same screen, but what ever is the power supply I put (wnet up to 3A), my Pi 3+ keeps crying that it hasn't enough power... As if the screen was draining too much current. However, there is no way to power the screen seperetly... I was wondering if you had the same issue?
i ran both pi 3b+ and pi4 using the same method with the lm2596 set to 5.1 volts and they all ran fine. maybe try a different cable from the lm2596 to the pi, one with a thicker wire.
light not blind but I'm not showing in device manager ? Windows 11
I can't get it past "start burner" what can I do to get it to start?
Mine came with a cable chain
The first units released a year ago had no back bar or chain, they had a silly bit of plastic to hold the cable up in the air. Neje took the advice about chain modification and implemented it onto the max4 frame which is good because the original way they had designed it could have had the cable caught in the toolhead damaging things. It is good they they listened to community feedback and made changes.
Do you have some source for inexpensive textured K1 PEI plates?
i get mine from aliexpress www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-k1-build-plates.html
Great review but I still can't decide between the two. Currently using Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo and want to upgrade to a faster, high quality printer. The K1 Max is on sale for $1211 on Creality's eBay store and the X1C is $1839 (without AMS) so there's a big price difference there. I've heard Bambu lacks customer service and Creality requires more tinkering to get quality prints out of the box. If K1 Max had AMS I'd buy one without hesitation.
Thanks for sharing, I also like the possibility to use a screen that is part of the printer itself.
Where can i buy this build plate can you paste link?
i purchased them from a local store but you can get them on aliexpress look for pei/peo build plate and the size is 310x320mm. if you have never used a metal build plate you will need to make sure you select the option for the magnetic base to be included. this is one i found quickly www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006094088775.html
at 6:28 you show the bed leveling data but that looks very different to my creality print interface - or are you using something different? I don't have the numbers or the mesh size - just the graphic.
my print interface is mainsail, i show how to install it here. czcams.com/video/7CcSahW-cR0/video.html the video was recorded before creality released the root enabled firmware so you can skip the "update firmware" section and start at 1;48.
Fantastic test. Very valuable information. Thank you so much.
Thanks mate
Thanks. Check out a first layer though. I carried out the same procedure as you, thought the mesh looked much better, but the first layer over extruded intermittently with under extrusion. So out of frustration I removed the silicon spacers under the bed and installed m4 screws in the corners with springs (think bed slingers) and adjust the bed now manually while printing a first layer. Old school, but it worked a treat. Personally I think the K1 leveling issue at least requires a firmware update. But it’s a reasonable machine for the price.
Good morning. Thank you so very much for this vid post! You likely just saved the day. Cheers and thanks again. Ron.
