All ready for new arrivals

Did the same trip on my E mountain board a month ago (68 years!)

It’s ran down because visitors numbers went to the floor with people taking the holidays abroad unfortunately. We went as a family a few times in early 1980s. With the (what was then new). Sun centre with indoor and outdoor pools etc, but the weather put paid to that and it ended up as a while elephant. Fingers crossed they get the Eden project which would definitely bring life back.

Was the 4x4 used by the Cockling crew that sadly lost their lives when the tide came in too quickly. It's a smaller suzuki possibly and was Blue originally, Very eerie. The local paper had a picture of it after the events :(

The Dump Truck got stuck and had to be winched out. ( I assumed that the Crabs come and go with the Tide)

I have always wondered why it was built so close to the Castle ?

I just love Morcambe bay it is a very scenic place very peaceful great for a 5 day break hotel or camping.Archers campsite is excellent with cafe and all facilities.

Great shot. Would be interested if you could take the history further. That said, as I might have iterated previously. You are capturing images today that are hopefully going to turn out to be a unique visual history of the North-West. Never get despondent in your efforts. Your rewards and accolades might be sometime coming, but they will come nonetheless.

There's more than 1 vehicle out there between Hest Bank Crossing and Warton Stock Cars. I remember back in 2010 that there was a vehicle very close to the shore at Red Bank Farm. The shifting sands of the bay will move or uncover them every few years. Sorry, I don't have any specifics on them though.

nice video! i live in kendal and went to see the dam about 20 odd years ago, took my daughter there few years back on our walk, there used to be a statue of hound dogs on top of the gate post, not there anymore.....i'm pretty sure it's the one i saw in the front of a house a couple of blocks away from me.

Great aerial footage, only problem is that isn't Garstang Marina. It's Bridgehouse Marina - Garstang Marina is the big one next doors. 🙂

The white dot on the grassy edge of the cliff is the praying shell sculpture. Said to remember the 23 Chinese cocklepickers who lost their lives when cut off by the tide in 2004.

Looks fun but be careful canals are not that deep..

Summer time at last..

Leighton Moss nature reserve.

Its the main sewage station for all of Lancaster and Morecambe, I did quite a bit of electrical installation here. It dosn't look much on top, but it goes 3 stories underground. There are massive pumps, that pump it back up to a higher level then its gravity out to sea. The Lancaster sewage pipe comes under the River Lune and feeds into this place. The outlet pipe from here once treated runs into Morecambe bay, a few miles out. Its thats big you could drive a car thought it. Its really not one of those places thats nice to visit, or is advertised.

PLEASE READ I GOT SCAMMED. This will be my LAST video here due to being SCAMMED by John Redford the Project manager on site. I was asked to record every month for the site then NOT PAID and ignored without any explanation. BIG MISTAKE!!! So I thought I would share this with everybody. Didn't expect this from a Project manager. Remember that name John Redford. Spread the word if the manager is like this God help the rest of the managers.

I don't know who thought that so-called 'camera obscura' building was a good idea - it's hideous, totally out of keeping with its location and you're lucky if you can see anything when you're in there. I'm sure the money spent on constructing it could have been used in much better ways.
