Explore underrated Japan, Togakushi - See, Eat, Do travel guide
Togakushi is known for its beautiful shrines and magnificent forest. It's also known for producing some of the best soba in Japan!
A perfect day trip off the beaten path - just one bus ride from Nagano city, you'll step into the mysterious land of Togakushi. This was one of the most underrated places I visited in Japan, I hope you get to experience the beauty of Togakushi too :)

Places mentioned:
📍 *Ninja Museum* - This is an open museum with several interactive buildings as well as exhibits. The Ninja Trick Museum is the popular attraction, where you can ninja your way out of the mansion. We loved it here! Unfortunately no pictures were allowed inside, so you'll have to see it for yourself :)
📍 *Gokurakubo Soba Restaurant* - This restaurant is set in a beautiful wooden building, and run by a kind, elderly lady. The food was absolutely amazing, I can totally recommend it! We went on a weekday and it was really quiet here.

We have been to Kanazawa 5 times and always enjoy it. Kanazawa Castle and Gardens are impressive. And you can get there on the Bullet train. The Train station is nice with lots of attached shopping and places to stay near by.
