Erste Teilnahme bei einer Veranstaltung nach der Restauration. Eine Concours dÈlegance im Barockschloß Ludwigsburg vom 23-26.06.2011 Bei besten Wetter konnte es nur genial werden. Und es war super GENIAL.

I learned how to drive an m38 surplus army jeep with a big star on top of the hood when i was 16 yrs old. I wish i could have another m38 jeep while i could still drive but its quite rare now in the Philippines.

Momentan ist der Jeep bei Dreharbeiten dabei für die 6 teilige Mini Serie "Little Amerika" kommt nächstes Jahr im Fernsehen. Wie Du siehst, ein Fahrzeug mit historischen Wert das seines gleichen Sucht.

Thank you for the fine video of your Jeep. I too, like others in the comment section have become an owner of a WW2 CJ, though mine will never have the authentic restoration of this one! I am jealous of your siren! It is hard to imagine how our late age appreciation of what these machines are, is so contrasted to what the troops would have felt, stepping into them to use them in life or death situations in war. My Dad was in North Africa as a transport officer, and he is long passed as I get into old age myself. The nostalgia of such war memorabilia is magnetic in charm to those of us who can only imagine the horror in WW2.

I also restored an M38 and used for 30 years. Was absolutely all genuine including canvas, doors and all screws!. Had great fun with it and my family. Plenty of adventures, No problems at all.

A beautiful restoration. Perfect? No, too many little incorrect details and parts. Most glaring is wrong carburetor and air tubes. Still, beautiful.
