Gothic barn restoration
zhlédnutí 31Před 2 lety
This gothic barn was saved from demolition and moved in pieces to my property in Vermont. It’s been completely restored and repurposed into a family chapel dedicated to my mother and all others who lost loved ones to Covid.

I just bought this about a month ago. czcams.com/users/shortseBWnLVWGmVU?feature=share
Incredible. Tell me more about it.
@@JamesPollMaine59 I do not have any information. It was bought by an antique dealer at a flee market. Someone tried to get it running with a penny from 1998. It was shoved into the whole where the glass bearing belongs. I assume it was made by a German immigrant. Hand made with older thick solid wood. The colors of red white and blue with the one star reminds of banners from the 1920’s but I don’t know. The paradise garden like what you have is rare. The size is 50” tall and the garden is 4’x2’
I absolutely love this pyramid with the miners and paradise garden. Where did you find it?
A friend travels to Erzgebirge Germany each year. It was found in a farmhouse attic in that town.
That thing is awesome! Do you know how old it is?
I’d say it’s c1930’s.
Wow! I've never seen such an elaborate one. I have a large 3 tier one but it's hard to get it started.

This is really interesting! I'm seeing it late but I'm wondering how the little shades held up
The shades balance on a small pin shape paper cone that fits on top of the lightbulbs. The c6 bulbs were pointed so the cone stayed in place.

Love this! ♥️
Sunny Birklund thanks so much. It was great fun creating this to enhance a wonderful example of folk art.
Wow! Tree so beautiful! 😊 Luv all vintage ornaments! New subbie here! Merry Christmas!
