7 1/4 inch gauge Romulus 0-4-0T
zhlédnutí 1KPřed dnem
A 7 1/4 inch gauge "Romulus" 0-4-0T, based on the popular Roger Marsh design with variations including side tanks replacing the well tank, Walschaerts valve gear rather than Hackworth, and a beautifully made brass dome. The silver soldered copper boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued - the injectors pick up reliably, safety valves work nicely, needing no encoura...

www.stationroadsteam.com/steam-outline-foden-wagon-stock-code-12124/ A 3 inch scale battery-electric Foden overtype steam wagon, built to a good standard it remains in excellent condition. We've all had a go on this one. Around the yard, round the workshop, up and down the road outside - it's just about the most fun you can have on a machine of this size without having to put a fire in it! Base...

Westbury "Unicorn" horizontal mill engine
zhlédnutí 217Před 14 dny
A beautifully made example of Edgar Westbury's "Unicorn" mill engine, serialised in "Model Engineer" magazine in 1953. Based on an engine dating from around 1800-1900 found in a derelict mill, much of it had already been claimed by a scrap merchant, requiring Westbury to reconstruct the missing parts using educated guesswork. The end result is a handsome engine, designed at a scale of 1 1/2 inc...

zhlédnutí 755Před 28 dny
A beautifully built 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS 3F, one of the nicest-running examples we've ever had. It's come to us from the daughter of the late owner, who in turn had inherited it from his uncle, William Manley. Getting on for 75 years old, it remains in excellent mechanical condition - and has a nice back story. W.J "Bill" Manley was a regular contributor to "Model Engineer" magazine and one-tim...

Are you planning to do an fc7/10.25" version of this in the future? Very interested in one Matt
Yes, two of the current batch of 8 "Estate range" locomotives are being built to this outline
Beautiful little engine :)
That's a lot of power.
I'm in love...
Just, yes. Beautiful steam locomotive.
Surprised that is 7 1/4, engine looks superb!
A proper .engineering job'.
Magic
She goes well and looks beautiful. Almost sounds like a full size steamer
who in the hell disliked this?!
Would love to somehow get this monster back to Oz what a Beauty
Impressive!
Magnificent!!
So nice
What a simply Gorgeous Machine! Excellent Work! She's a Greyhound!
Lovely! Your driver has no fear anyway!
Very nice engine. Thanks for the video. This looks like "Part 2". Is there a Part 1 that shows the preparation for pulling? Don't you have to do something, cutting or collapsing the expansion, roll, bead, at the other end before you start pulling? I would like to see what actually happens in the smoke chamber too. Looks like a pipe tape you screw in. Too dark in there to see. It looks like a lot of work, and fun though. Rbs
This is the complete operation. If the tubes were beaded at the firebox end (not that common in full size, rare in miniatures) then we'd grind the ends off, otherwise they're simply pulled out from the front - there is no need to collapse the ends. The hardened mandrel has a coarse taper thread which bites into the tube end - we wind it in tightly then back it off a little before pulling, otherwise it can be difficult to removed later.
Fantastic!
Oh that is nice
Maravilhoso!
Brilliant! :D
A very nice tone. Not too high, not to low!
Lovely.
Such a nice running and looking loco!
Nice. :)
Stunning!
Like the locomotives and the railway is also Beautiful
its so statisfying to look at when it drives
This one i saw yesterday at Leek/NL : A great engine by any means
Boys Thanks.
It's a Garratt from RENFE. Built by Babcock & Wilcox in Bilbao. Nice!!👍👍👍
Nice thanks for sharing. Cheers
Absolutely perfect!
Who makes the hooter that's on there? It gives off a lovely sound
TheSkyWright This was a whistle we'd got in stock, it's a small full-sized one rather than for a model - don't know who made it. Sounds nice and just about the right size for the engine.
Blimey, that's quite impressive! Puts my simplex to shame haha
Very nice, great video. Cheers
Wow that smoth
Yes, we currently have a batch of four engines in build, two 10 1/4 inch gauge and two flycrank 7 1/4 inch gauge - very similar to the one you see here only bigger. They are around a half ton in working order, just under six feet long, 150psi working pressure.
I hear you guys are going to produce a 10 1/4 engine. Is this true and would you be able to do this sort if thing to it to make it FC7 1/4?
What a real beauty she is ! I really like her ! Do you make her as a production model ? If so please tell me how much money I have to save . cheers Joe
Super Kanal, klasse Aufnahmen! (fantastic channel!)
Love it!
I've put up a video of the event too. Thanks for attending!
Beautiful locomotive, I feel a mid life crisis coming on !
Such a beautiful machine!!!
That is a beautiful machine!!!
Is that a RENFE 2-8-2 - 2-8-2?
What a beautiful loco! (like all GWR engines)
That's a really nice one!
It's a twin cylinder boiler feed pump
