Hi, great media and interview, however it would be good to understand that journalism TODAY, and access to the facts, is based on dozens of independent media reporting, no matter if it is a citizen or a journalist reporting: The audacity to see the truth among all these channels is now responsibility of the audience. In other words, journalists don´t hold the monopoly of information and truth anymore. The truth has to be articulated from dozens of formal and informal sources reporting. Yessica somehow smells this by suggesting the creation of nets of independent journalists, but that is just part of the solution to access good information and a wide and deep covering. This latter can only be possible if you include honest and responsible citizens reporting thru their social media. And don´t get me started about language barriers, because you guys have no idea of what's really going on in another countries if you don´t speak the language of that country, cause you´re doomed to the Agenda of international Media, like CNN for i.e. which has played an importatn role as a coupist media by hiding the truth or lying systematically about the leftist democratic good movements and governments in Latin America. Our government is really good is just outsourcing their problems. Citizens aren't having kids? Import people willing to have children. Citizens are hopeless and unwilling to work. Import a new workforce or better yet pay pennies to some overseas company to manufacture your goods. This shit isn't going to change. I appreciate Scott's voice on all of this, but realistically the only thing that is going to make a difference is a societal collapse.

When you know a very narrow spectrum of what anyone (here Scott) touches on, quite well, and they get it wrong, it's a signal that it's very likely they get a lot of other things wrong as well. If you don't know anything about any of the topics, then Scott may come across as a treasure trove and listening to any talk clueless is a recipe for following blindly.

The problem he barely mentioned is the human mind. The egoic fear based, always busy looking for something, never satisfied discerning thinking mind that is the master of almost everyone and has been for a long time. The downside of tech is just an extrapolation of that quality of the human mind. So where is the cultivation of sanity? Where is the application of the practice advocated by the ancient sages? The idea of past and future being illusory and presence being everything needs to be propounded into society. However, that would kill today's economic model because consumption is directly tied into the dissatisfaction of the human neurotic mind.
