Passive Design: Bard College Residence Halls
The Bard College Residence Halls, located in upstate New York, leverage passive design principles to minimize their carbon footprint. Responding to their unique environmental surroundings, the college’s residential buildings achieve energy-efficient performance while maintaining a comfortable and beautiful space for students. Architects at KPF utilized elements of climate-responsive building to achieve Bard College’s goal of Passive House certification, one of the most rigorous standards for a building’s energy efficiency.
The project exemplifies KPF’s approach to Passive Design, a primary method of decarbonization showcased in the Carbon Issue of KPF Review magazine. The spring issue looks at key case studies that help decarbonize the built environment through their design. Utilizing standards of Passive Design pushes architects at KPF to create buildings that are dynamic in performance and articulation, making them both resilient and beautiful.

In Turkey, there is the cruelty of Ataturk and his lira and the statue of this man is in the empire of the Japanese state, this state is very powerful but it is busy with this stupidity and most importantly in Turkey, Ataturk supporters own the production of the Dodge brand car under the name of Tofaş and the worst part is they own Ford under the name of Otosan and this is Ataturk. While their lira and passport have no value, America and Japan seem to have hired a private gigolo to erase their reputation over time while living a strong state and rich life, and we, as people in Turkey, are very oppressed and cannot even trade because it is impossible, please help us.
