Angulimala and Buddha : Why Buddha saved a criminal?
If a genuine spiritual tradition is to survive its central principles must be practiced correctly and continuously. Generation after generation the transmission of wisdom must be intact. Each generation must produce teachers of outstanding qualities that have actually attained realisation of the central principles of the lineage. If that chain of wisdom is broken, the lineage is broken and unrepairable. If the custodians of the lineage are being corrupted by the influence of other spiritual principles from other traditions, the lineage is also lost! A sword alone can never destroy a genuine spiritual tradition if the central principles and wisdom of the tradition is still kept intact in the minds of its principle lineageholders. Even if a bloodbath is committed the lineage will survive if its custodians keeps its wisdom and central principles intact. A resent prime example of this is the extraordinary spread of genuine buddhism across the world that have happened despite the unprecedented cruelty against the Tibetan people by the Chinese red army. But we must also acknowledge the extraordinary generosity that the neighbouring countries such as India, Nepal and Bhutan have shown the fleeing Tibetans during the Chinese invasion. These countries have been instrumental in the preservation of an extraordinary Buddhist tradition during a very difficult time. To such a degree, in fact, that we can quite safely say that the Chinese invasion of the Tibetan nation have very skilfully been used as a catalyst for the spread of the Buddha Dharma across the entire world! The fact that Buddha Dharma remains and is being practiced across the world today, more than 2500 years later, is a testament to its inherent vast scope of vision and wisdom. The single most important factor for the fact that several unbroken linages still remains and upholds the central principles and the wisdom of Buddha Dharma is the maintained unbroken chain of genuinely enlightened teachers and masters since the time of the Buddha himself. A lineage is only a living tradition if it’s being understood and practiced correctly by each new generation. Looking back we can very easily see that power and politics have been among the worst threats towards the destruction of any spiritual traditions. Even if a religion is followed by a billion people if its central principles and gurus are being compromised by power and political considerations it will be useless and soon lost. It will only remain as an empty shell without a true centre. All its wisdom will be lost and it cannot deliver its followers to its promised results. This is true to any spiritual tradition and today it is becoming painfully apparent that many traditions are under such threats. At the core, it is the minds of corrupted leaders and gurus that will bring down our spiritual traditions. And when they’re lost, they’re lost for good. Spiritual practice and politics do not go well together. If we think that there can be a Buddhist nationalism, a Hindu nationalism, a Christian nationalism, etc then we must think again! Genuine spiritual practice and political ambition are not compatible and will only lead to the destruction of wisdom and will be the poison that will destroy all humanity, eventually.

Imagine not a Buddha who existed five thousand years ago but being a replica of the Buddha in the modern moment where science and technology are the enlightened ones, and then suddenly you were in the era of the ancient Buddha who was enlightened by his own experience of enlightenment, how can you compare the two Buddhas--the ancient Buddha and the modern Buddha. There is nothing like static enlightenment in the world which is in the constant state of flux and the rest is only relative and the motion is absolute constant. Therefore, the Buddha is the natural state of mind which we get through Change which is Permanent. Does not The Change changes all without being changed.

Aryans origin is persia i.e., iran, Cacessia and Eurasia province, now and than it is Islamic peoples Nation. Blood relation between them almost may be the same beyond 2000 BC, hence their thinking attitude, intension in the religious matter resembles to Islamic invaders on india, So Aryan Brahmin's generation and Islamic invaders both are responsible in the declination of Buddhism in india.

Buddhism was never the dominent faith in India, it always survived as a minority faith.. Hinduism was always followed by the overwhelming majority people , and that's because in ancient times empires were the only medium to spread your faith.. And for the Buddhist, except for few centuries of palas in Bengal and last few years of the rule of ashoka, they never had any empire in india which they could have used to spread their faith...

This is documentary is wrong. Buddhism was (Theravada) originated in Sri Lanka, not in India
My personal perspective: Buddha already had the inherent prerequisite at the physical incarnation of him being a Buddha to be able to realise all these. He had healthy upbringing (royalty; thus being well treated physically, mentally, emotionally) and thus likely he could have a healthier state of being to be able to achieve what he did in his life. (less fragmentation, deep-level traumas). He had existing teachings from sages that guided him on how to figure out the truth. In a way, he had pre-existing knowledge to work on and not from scratch. (So does it count as achieving by his own methods?) His realisation might actually be a divine act and was pre-planned in higher dimensions (if one actually believes this concept) in his physical body as Buddha in that lifetime. Also, who is to say that what he experienced is universal objective truth (when he meditated) and not just his own personally "hallucinations"? Like for me, I did similar methods to meditate, and I might come to different experiences too. I might be a Schizophrenic as such and why he is not?

The sun lost its energy and it means there are time in the past where it is at full capacity. If so there is a beginning and our sun or universe is not forever existing or eternal state. The creator of all these must be outside of time , space and matter. He is the true God of the universe and meeting the criteria of God of the Bible
If you work backward on all your previous lives, there is no basis for reincarnation for the 1st rebirth as there is "no bad karma" prior to the first rebirth. i.e no bad karma at time zero "0". The sun lost its energy and it means there are time in the past where it is at full capacity. If so there is a beginning and our sun or universe is not forever existing or eternal state. The creator of all these must be outside of time , space and matter. He is the true God of the universe and meeting the criteria of God of the Bible .

@@fbrs4455 She belongs to the new age group adopting the eastern philosophy ie. reincarnation. I am more convinced with verifiable science. Among all the holy books in the world, only the Bible provides accurate account of fossil timeline i.e creation of living things on earth . The Bible reveals that God exist and who the true God of the universe is or the true creator. Example: There are similarities between the sequence of fossil dating and the sequence of creation events as described in the Bible, particularly in the Book of Genesis. Here’s a comparison: Scientific Fossil Dating Sequence: 1. Plants (appear early in the fossil record, hundreds of millions of years ago) 2. Fish (appear around 500 million years ago: Cambrian period) 3. Birds (appear around 150 million years ago: Jurassic period) 4. Mammals (appear around 62 million years ago, with diversification after the extinction of dinosaurs: Tertiary period) 5. Humans (hominins appear around 6-7 million years ago, Homo sapiens much later around 200,000 years ago: Quarternary period) Biblical Creation Sequence (Genesis 1:1-31 and 2:1-3): 1. Plants (created on Day 3) 2. Fish and birds (created on Day 5) 3. Land animals, including mammals (created on Day 6) 4. Humans (created on Day 6) Note: The term 'day' is used to indicate a sequence and not a literal 24-hour period. We are still in the seventh 'day,' which is a period of rest for God, meaning there is no active creation occurring.
Instead of believing in the new age movement which adopts the eastern religion philosophy of reincarnation, I would rather believe in verifiable science. Humans (hominins appear around 6-7 million years ago, Homo sapiens much later around 200,000 years ago: Quarternary period).

Sir,it is cock and bull story? Even otherwise ,these Barbaric invaders, jihadists would have burnt the books as it is happening even today also! 😮 Don't believe such stories! They have destroyed temples, converted people by swords, imposed jijya, pilgrimage tax on Hindus, abduction, rape murders etc have also happened! 😮😮,real reason is jihadism, fanaticism, bigotry, nothing else ?
The only reason Islam is spreading because of violence not because of peace. Because people love violence not peace. Peace is boring
