M109 "Paladin" | The Gold Standard
Artillery is one of the most important factors of any armed force, something that has been true for literally centuries, and in the modern day, it is rightfully referred to as "The God of War". Throughout the Cold War, the American M109 was the gold standard by which all other self-propelled howitzer designs would be compared, and its influence has shaped the concept of artillery itself ever since.

Instead these are NATO reporting names. What are NATO reporting names? Well......... ═════════════════════════════════ 0:00 Intro 1:57 What are NA...

For over four decades, the concept of the European Main Battle Tank has been dominated by the Leopard 2, to the point where it's almost impossible to imagine a world in which this legend no longer serves on the battlefield. Rheinmetall however appear to feel differently, unveiling their KF 51 Panther MBT concept at Eurosatory in June of 2022. Equipped with an autoloading 130mm smoothbore main g...

Perhaps the most famous, or infamous, point of interest when it comes to the Russian equipment sent to Ukraine in 2022, is the presence of large rooftop cage armor pieces, nicknamed "Cope Cages". Initially reported as an anti-Javelin measure, after the Ukrainian army took delivery of shipments of the deadly top-attack missiles, their failure in this role has lead many to believe that some other...

In the world of mechanised infantry warfare, the Soviet BMP is without a doubt the industry leader in its class of IFV's, serving with dozens of nations in many different variants, and remaining in production to this day. While a far from perfect vehicle, the BMP has been so influential throughout the Cold War period that it cornered the international market right across the world, and despite ...

Are you going to remake this video now M1 Abrams are sporting "cope cages"? I guess they work after all, you shill. Did NATO stop paying you to make these videos?
Sorry my friend, but video with some random footage of the game is just... unacceptable for me. I find nothing interesting in watching some gameplay video from arcade game.
No need to pay attention to it necessarily, it just serves as background footage so we don't have to pay to license footage for the full length of all our videos, which would be prohibitively expensive (or use a slideshow of still photos like a lot of other channels do). Any time there's something important to demonstrate we cut back to real life footage, but featuring gameplay also allows us to consider things like sponsorships, which are always important for a channel like this one where most videos aren't eligible for ad revenue
@@ArmorCast I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure you did solid research and put lot of effort and injected a lot of interesting information to this video, so respect for that. That's only my personal preference. But I'm the guy who don't like Top Guns because I see them as unrealistic piece of Hollywood fantasy with some random footage (I remember original Top Gun mixing footage of F-14 & F/A-18... what a disgrace it was to me...). For me it would be better if you would put some photos and real world video and talk about them rather that video from arcade game (always can use DCS instead if you really want to use game).
I agree. The new defense against javelins, but for those pesky little drones dropping grenades down the torrent hatch, they do give you a slight advantage.
Niemcy ukradli koncepcję Polaków
B-but t90 is kute
These things will melt if they are hit by ....... anything
(the ukrainian crews literally being glad to use a leopard and not a T-64) but i must agree with the tank having...obvious weakspots that should be fixed in future german tanks
K 13 looks awfully like an aim 9b
Idk, I think it’s worse if I hear “fox #” from a civilian aircraft than “fire” 😝
Using the example of the syrian T72 is unfair since those thing aren't even soviet made, the soviet never sold T72s to Syria, they made their own replicas without ceramic composite armor, explosive reactive armor or even night vision.

this t90 useless tank still burn to dust the abrams more useless tank .
Why when some nato country develops a new tank its “promising” but when Russia does it we just laugh at it and act like its completely incapable..
so very happy news, from the Germans, Ukraine now will prevail with 24000 brand new Leo A8 MBT, as the wackos of Kiel institute stated germans 24 billions euros germany aid, facts tells another story, no taurus "anyway its shitty", and 60% of leo MBT or guns arent usable rusty, old or missing pieces, viva Scholtz 😅🤣🤣😂
Indian Bison claim of taking down a Pakistani F-16 is not true. As the pilot claimed to have shot the f16 just before he himself was shot down by JF-17. Although some reports suggested that IAF lost 2 jets in that encounter Mig21 and Su30.
Attention/ Correction ....video maker The T 90 is not useless junk Infact its a hilarious piece of machine.... Its turret flies And we, you tube watchers Love to see turrets fly....and as the you tube channel ENGINEERS REACT owner says....leaving one less for tomorrow And that gives us so much peace.....even GOD can't give that....😂😂
13 Bravo King of Battles!
Overcomplicated Sherman .
As an ex Gunner who worked on a Cent MK13 my view on what a modern Tank should have as a secondary weapons are coaxial 50 cal remote Xm380 a GPMG for the loader and the return of a bow gun operated buy the TC and the driver useing remote system camras the driver could have a thumb joystick like on the old blowpipe with a trigger to fire the gun this could be attached to the steering yoke and be switched to left or right depending on the driver a foot peddle to the right or a leaver could be used to cock the weapon , useing a chain gun in this position with a hopper feed there was one that I once saw on a test vehical to replace the Pig had a system where you could throw a box of lose ammo into the hopper this would strip off the cardboard and rotate the rounds the right way to feed into the chain
No matter how the military plans, Murphy's law states, "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." The M10 will be facing the heaviest enemy main battle tanks on the battlefield. The situation will be like the M4 Sherman tank versus the German Tiger tank. The US light tank or "fighting vehicle" will be at the same disadvantage like its WW2 predecessor. The silver lining is that this time we can deploy the M1 Abrams tank to the face-off. The question is, how many M10 Booker will be knocked out before the arrival of Abrams?
That's not how it works. The M10 will be deployed with the US Army's AIRBORNE divisions. They deploy to the kinds of locations and theatres where no MBTs can operate anyway, so they won't be waiting on M1's to show up, nor will they be facing Type 99s or T-90s. This is not WW2 anymore. We have drones, helicopters, radar, satellites... we know exactly what hardware the enemy have, where they have it, how much of it they have, etc. IF the enemy have a significant tank force in the area... the M10 wouldn't be sent in in the first place... the armor divisions would - divisions built around the Abrams. If it's just one or two companies of T-72Bs on the other hand, then the Airborne division will do what they already do - send in the Apaches. More likely case is that the M10 will go up against Russian airborne or Chinese amphibious tanks - the 2S25 Sprut or ZTS-63A respectively. Those, it can very easily take on with its 105mm gun, and it can comfortably outrange both of those tanks given superior optics and sensors. The only thing it MIGHT struggle with is the Type 15, but again; the troops will know that that kind of hardware is in the area long before they have to fight it, so they'll either deploy Apaches or, if AAA is too heavy in the area... Javelin teams.
If they're not working no one would use them, simple as that
Twice as heavy as the Sheridan. I don’t think we’ve learned much from the war in Ukraine. No amount of armor is going to save a tank in a modern near peer conflict. Would have been better to get something that is autocannon proof and built the doctrine around movement and avoiding tank on tank engagements.
Seems to be a pattern that western intel tended to assume Soviet weapons were what they claimed in the news released Which isn’t a bad thing you know “better to be over prepared then under prepared”
Why do APS not protect against drones?
Because they’re not designed too. It’s more cost effective to just creat anti drone systems
The M109A5 did not serve in Desert Storm or even in the Regular Army. Only the National Guard got A5s for units that last in line to get the M109A6.
Desert storm took place in 1991. The first M109A6 was deluvered to the army in 1994. Not sure why you brought them up.
Miss your videos
Gaijin is not agree😂
I think this tank is prettier than the Abrams. We should use it only for parades.
Russia is a joke they always have been in history proves it 😂😂😂
Does the leopard have redeeming traits?
40 tons is a lot of tons
And if they really want to test them why don’t they ship them to the Ukraine
Russia are the only ones dumb enough to deploy untested prototypes to heavy combat theatres... and they don't usually last very long... You can't get much data from your "test" if the prototype is reduced to molten slag by a cruise missile or a smouldering wreck by a landmine and then carted away by the opposing side
make more videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INDONESIA MENTIONED
6:21 - what a load of crap as as proven by the fact that the 1) rifled gun 2) HESH rounds and 3) separate loading ammo have been done away with in the Challenger 3, proving that those rationalizations were just that.
AMAR CHA EKTU BESHI.
AEMYTA APNI E PARLEN.S SIR.
M10 Booker is the Sherman revisited with a better gun. Like the M10 Tank destroyer with better armor. M10's fired HE most of the time both direct fire and indirect fire. M18 TD were almost too fast to be of use in supporting infantry but very good at killing tanks. My only worry is role creep and ensuring ammo is always available for resupply. For background Tarawa taught the Marines the Importance of having lots of ammo on board so they could fight for a full day.
Harriers may have "Pedestrian speeds" though they do things that no other jet can be proven to do to the same effect, consistently.
wings break too much bruh
Why american and european expensive tanks Useless Junk! XD

Thanks.i understand
Singapore is one of the user too. Now it has been replaced by leopard 2A4
Why is it that when a brown skinned soldier gets something named after him, he has to share it with a pale skinned soldier? Ive never heard of the military naming anything after two people at the same time. So, finally, they name something after a brown soldier, and he has to share. I find that pretty ironic! I dont mean to make anything about race, but I cant help but to notice, unless somone can show me where they have done this before, which I highly doubt.
That is honestly a fair point, however this is also the first time a US vehicle has been named after troops who were not Generals (Patton, Abrams, Bradley, Sheridan, Sherman etc.). I do wonder how much that plays into it
@ArmorCast Yes, you are definitely right about that! Most are definitely named after Generals. I can't argue that at all! I mean, I guess it just depends on which of these two soldier's names came up first. If it was the brown soldier, then my point possibly still stands. If it was the pale soldier, then I'd assume they had two Bookers from two different time periods and wanted to try something different by naming a tank after them both! It could also be that same latter scenario if the brown soldier's name was first. However, I can't help but think what I initially thought. I mean, bcuz that's normally the case for the most part when it comes to anything dealing with my people! Like I said, though. I didn't want to make it about race, I just couldn't help but notice it, but you made a fair point as well, though!
I've always been curious as to why nobody has tried putting the A-10's rotary cannon on a wheeled, or tracked chassis? Is it not a viable anti-tank weapon anymore?
It never really was. It's great at taking out BMPs, BTRs and MTLBs, other stuff like that, as well as hitting machine gun nests or suppressing enemy troop positions... but by the time it entered service, the main battle tanks of the day were already pretty well defended against it. Contrary to popular belief, tank-busting has never been the A-10's job. Couple that with the size, weight and recoil force of the GAU-8, and it's just not worth trying to integrate into a ground vehicle, even for its capabilities against light armored vehicles and other threats. As for why they never tried it... ... they did. General Electric submitted a proposal to the DIVAD program (divisional air defence) mounting a shortened version of the A-10's gun on an M48 tank chassis... it was not successful. There was also the T249 Vigilante with its gigantic 37mm rotary cannon (with a full 4 seconds worth of ammo!) and then vehicles like the LAV-AD with its rotary 25mm or the Russian Pantsir and Tunguska with 30mm guns... but none of them are effective against tanks.
The 992 never gets any love lol
