Aw thank you for saying that 🥹❤️❤️ I use B Mix cone 6 clay from Aardvark Clay for my mugs and all other white pieces! Love that clay.
Little question, I'm looking to sell on Faire (hopefully) but unsure of how much to discount as I feel these being handmade pieces it wont be 50% (which is what alot of wholesale is) as a ceramicist myself how do you navigate that? (if you feel comfortable sharing of course!
hi! great question. From my experience, Faire requires you to price your wholesale products at 50% of MSRP. Since all of my products are also sold on my website at MSRP, I really couldn’t get around the 50% wholesale price. It made me feel a little sick to my stomach when I received the first order, but after reviving a few orders and seeing how much I was making in total, it felt worth it. one more thing, I only offer a few of my products on Faire, the more streamlined pieces. My one-of-a-kind pieces (requiring more time to make) will always only be sold on my website, direct to customers. So I’m looking at Faire as an addition to my income as an artist, not the MAIN source. Hope that helps!
@@ericamoorepottery I completely understand! I just thought it might be a bit different with handmade goods. Just seems like just a huge discount but I guess if you feel like it worth it then that's all that matters. I guess you can also have a minimum order too which is helpful. But thank you for your honesty!

That poor glazed candlestick holder... I didn't think it looked all that bad... I know that potters often produce a line of similar items to have a signature line, but have you thought of adding little white birds to the dark clay pottery? I think, that might look _so _ cute! <3

Pottery takes time and I need to be patient and enjoy the journey 😊. I love pottery, I stepped out of my comfort zone and I discovered something that makes me super happy. You are doing amazing, now you are my inspiration!

Aw thank you!! I don’t weigh my clay, I just kind of eyeball it. I maintain consistency by measuring each mug once they are leather hard, each one is 4.5” tall at that stage! 🩷🩷
