RAF Red Arrows Arrival Prestwick 21/06/2024
On the 21st June 2024 the RAF aerobatic team the Red Arrows arrived at Prestwick airport from their homebase of RAF Waddington. The team comprising of 9 Hawk aircraft are planned to base there-selves at Prestwick, so they are able to perform at a show in Northern Ireland on Sat 22nd June. They are planned to return to Prestwick at its conclusion for refuelling before departing for another display in the NE of Scotland before landing at RAF Lossiemouth. This year sees the Red Arrows perform a summer tour of North America so this will be one of a limited amount of opportunity to see the "Reds" grace Scottish skies.

Those RR engines are impressive! Amazing how such a big plane can accelerate and get off the ground so fast.
