This song was my anthem during a liquify bipolar relationship that led me to meditation and marriage. JAGGED is a very specific emotion for me. It’s brutal. “I couldn’t drink enough to make this make sense. “TRUE STORY”. This is one of the great bands of the Aughts.

I could totally relate to this song

I had moved to L.A. in 1997 from Dallas to go to grad school at UCLA. I was driving down San Fernando Blvd along the rail yards just the other side of the L.A. River south of Atwater Village - I was probably going to the Home Depot or something but it seems like it was late at night - it was raining slightly - I saw the guys set up doing the main shots, par banks and whatnot, I knew what was happening so I parked and walked up to the fence and chatted with Ken while they were between takes. Always thought it was a wild coincidence to see them in such an out-of-the-way place in gigante L.A. having been a fan in Dallas.

They sound amazing

Just saw a Rhett solo show in a barn in NH a couple weeks ago. Maybe 50 people tops and it was a full house. He sounded amazing, and played a great version of Jagged.

First Old 97s song I ever heard was Oppenheimer on a local community station right after Fight Songs came out. I saw this about a week later. Been a die hard fan ever since. That said..... Is it me, or is Rhett giving off massive Gareth Keenan vibes? :D
