Your arm is going to break anyways. That's why the way thais do is the best. Mma stance doesn't allow you to check body kicks properly. Also, if managed distance well, people will kick you with the foot in the space between your arm and your tummy and you will be done. Also some guys in mma had a very side stance that favors boxing but welcome body kicks as well. That being said, yes, that's the only good way you have to block them. I agree.

Good demonstration, but I think its important to note that although parry is very hard to pull off it still is viable. But it isnt something one should constantly rely on. I prefer to move back with footwork since allows for leg counter attacks if you get used to the pattern
