I am about to start this project here in a few days. Plan is to set up my Eskimo 850xd to get the inside measurements. I plan to leave an inch all the way around so it doesn’t rub. Is that the best way to go? Or do you think it would be better to make it longer so I can secure it straight to the floor?

This works if you have no snow if you have snow you will be either plowing an area or shoveling for an hour= few hour set up an Hoping you can get a flat enough surface

Quick question when installing a deck on or with a above ground pool how do you handle the situation with access to the skimmer and with the deck covering the filter?

Nothing worse than reading “DIY” and then seeing the most elaborate concoction of results.

Maybe a ground level pool would be cheaper since lumber prices have soared.

I have done the same thing you have with the floor, do you find that the ice melts and water comes up over the floor and the floor floats?

@Sheldon Unrau Hello. Beautiful job. The entire project looks Amazing! We just recently had a 30 foot Embassy pool installed and I used your video as inspiration for our deck project. We wanted to save on the cost so it's a smaller version of yours. I was wondering about the skimmer box. Is there a hatch or opening on your deck to access the skimmer for cleaning and maintenance?

I noticed you put white sand down then you put clay sand down for your vase of your pool why did you want to put white sand down first
