I loved this song growing up but I don’t think the rapture is supported by scripture now. Acts 3:21, Matthew 19:28, Ephesians 1:10, Revelation 21:1-5, Isaiah 65:17, etc. support a one and only Second Coming of Christ when he will make all things new and make a new/renewed cosmos/earth and give us new bodies to live on the new earth (1 Cor. 15:20-23,42-54, 2 Cor. 5:3, Phil. 3:21). So, now let’s make a song about new creation and the new heavens and new earth. :)

I knew this song way before DC Talk sang it---breaks my heart that it is so true!!!! People just don't get it---so in life for themselves and getting ahead-greed, sex, other stuff that has no eternal meaning. I have a son that now states he has no belief in God--he was raised in a Bible believing and teaching church-made profession of faith and saw God intervene to save my life more than 20 times form life threatening episodes of Lupus. His older brother is now laying up treasures on earth and not in Heaven. The pain parents go thru is almost unbearable!!! I pray continuously because I know nothing is impossible with God!!! I trust Him totally---He has never left a need unmet in my illness in 37 years!!! That is saying so much. I am so thankful for Christian parents that helped after my divorce from their dad--he couldn't handle my disease-I was socially unacceptable. Unreal!!! My folks are with the Lord now. I live with my oldest son and his wife and 3 precious grandchildren--sure pray they will be life long followers of Christ!!! I love Jesus with all my heart!!!

Please Lord help us encourage people who are believers talk to those who don't know JESUS yet tell them about JESUS. Before it too late. Praise You Jesus.
