There is a difference between being sympathetic to someone losing a husband and letting someone use your property free of charge. He was lenient giving a free month of rent. He is not responsible for the death of the husband and people should realize that. He is just another person trying to make money. People are just hating on landlords just to hate when it seems like he is one of the better ones with not changing the price and giving a free month of rent. People just hate on the landlord when you can use the same logic on others, why doesn’t the grocery store give the family free groceries, why doesn’t the hospital cover everyone’s medical bills, or why doesn’t the employer keep paying the family for the husband’s former job. It sucks that this is the situation but it is not the responsibility of the landlord. It sucks but we live in a society where essentials are not provided.

That’s very suspicious. First of all: who wants to be called the EXACT name of someone they are close to, especially as it includes the surname too? How are people going to know which sister they are talking about? Secondly: if parents were to name their kids the same thing, that would be frowned upon. Thirdly: just imagine the chaos with taxes, credit cards and other official stuff, if 2 women share a first name, last name, know all of each others security questions, probably went to the same school and such. Lastly, if you are taking such a step, that will impact the life of one person in particular, how selfish do you need to be to not even ask them? And correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t transgender people not choose a new name ONCE, then go by that, rather than changing their minds every few years? I mean that's the most polite and kind landlord I've seen so far, idk who would call them a ahole for being concerned about everything, they let her skip a whole month's rent and even waved her free of a lot of stuff, they have a right to evict someone who isn't communicating or paying rent, it's sad but electric companies, water, ect wouldn't let her get off that easy for that either
