I hope it's ok for a dog to eat.. bc my dogs are eating them left and right. I can't get them out after they find em.
You looked this up cause you were wondering what that buzzing was outside…
Obsessed with animals that use their hands
I love Canada geese
try hitting one on a motorcycle at 70mph.
No, it does not get any cuter!
That is the most adorable thing I have ever seen in my life
The cicada was asking you to let him go 😂
😮Your voice is louder than cicadas 😅😅😅
I actually got a closeup photo of a young, green cicada resting atop its exoskeleton back in August of 2019. It was on a wooden post attached to my back deck. Very cool!
I cannot hear the cicadas because you are talking.
If you shut up I could hear it
Hello, I live in northern New England and I swear I saw one of these amazing creatures in the woods a couple of years ago. Same size, coloring, movement etc. I was made fun of by a forest fish and wildlife guy but he was wrong. I’ve been looking at nature my whole life am very accurate with details. I can email you with more details.
They’re here again!! 2024!!
You need to quit acting all hyper around this baby. SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!
Sooo adorable!!!!
❤❤ How kool are they! The sound they make reminds me of a horse nicker.
Do they taste good? Because there's seemingly an infinite supply of these bastards. So it would be cool if I could just eat them.

Just started following you, love what you do!
Love this. Living in Éirinn ☘️☘️☘️☘️ we never get this sound. But after visiting Greece, Spain, and Croatia, this sound is in my head all the time. I loved your friendly informative video Jeff. The only other thing I'd be curious about is to see one of them in action, when making their sound.😂
C’mon people, he’s trying to teach you that they’re harmless and unique. He’s sharing information. Enlighten yourself. Thanks nature guy. I love learning about the insects that we live with. Cicadas are awesome. I call their song “the sound of summer” and I love hearing them.
Great belly dancing with maracas 🪇😂
Those are oyster mushrooms, they grow in bunches on dead trees, there are many other identifiers available. Destroying angels (and death caps) grow singly from the ground. These also have many other identifiers. Research your target mushroom thoroughly, and all its look alikes before consuming them. It makes me nervous that this guy has mistaken a common edible wild mushroom with the 2nd most prolifically deadly one in the US. I would NOT go mushroom hunting with this guy as a guide for mushrooming, or take his word for what is poisonous and what is not. If he misidentified this, he could misidentify anything, since obviously he heard this somewhere and took it as gospel, without even a 10sec Google search to find out. And you all could do a 10sec Google search to find out yourselves. And you'll want to do FAR more than that before put anything from the forest or yard in your mouth. Having said that... DO do some research, there is amazing food and medicine just outside your door. Just, take it more seriously than this guy.
My cicada is pretty loud
How is Lander doing? This video is a few years old now and she must be all grown up.
She is the BEST!
overpowering cicadas Not The best company for dialogue instruction 🙄
Love the roar these create. I will nap outside all day as they are my lullaby.
Literally looked this up since it was hella loud. I'm in north idaho and always wondered what it was. Thank you for the video!
How can I get one
HIMB NOT BIG AND GROSS! HIMB CUTE AND BEAUTIFUL
I love them
big big
I need a this rabbit.
I had one crawl across my porch. I thought it was a scarab beetle and I took a picture. Bugs, spiders, etc. sort of fascinate me, so I went out later to look at it again and damn if it hadn't morphed into a cicada, so I got a picture of it as a cicada right there with its exoskeleton. Here I was thinking the larger bug (cicada) was trying to mate with the scarab beetle! lol The things you learn when you pay attention to what's going on around you in nature! Fascinating!
Thanks I just moved to Texas and never heard this crap before. I was filing to ask my kids what was this and it moved or flew away lol I ran inside.
They do eat they suck juices out of bark
awesome
Awesome
A fledgeling fell out of my neighbor's tree with the nest (high winds, wet nest), and i had to take the bird into my backyard because she has a big dog that will crush the bird if given the chance. I have a lot of wild birds and robins going through my back yard because i feed and water them, is it okay to let the fledgeling loose in my backyard? Will the mother find it?
Cicadas can bite 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My name is Jeff 😮
The bear is so cute
I wish I was you man
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ive seen way bigger than these little ones, lol , no offense
Heard more of you talking than the cicadas.
