*New Building* LFB Plumstead Pump Ladder and Pump Turnout from New Appliance Bays
London Fire Brigade Plumstead Pump Ladder (E251) and Pump (E252) turning out to a Fire in a Prison on their ground with other machines also attending.
As seen, the station has undergone extensive refurbishments, with new appliance bays and a yard built to replace the old spaces which were not very spacious. The crews have been using these new spaces for around 6 months.

@@alanchandler254 There’s a lot of question regarding that. The majority of the response shown in this video is relief for the crews who responded initially, so that they weren’t on scene for the whole duration. Also, the 20 pump response was mainly for more manpower rather than equipment. Now that Breathing Apparatus procedures have changed, firefighters tend to only spend time in the building once. BA is now ‘one wear’ so to speak, unless there are special circumstances. So, more firefighters are required to form new BA crews. A few years ago when there was less of a focus on contaminants, you would often see firefighters making multiple entrances into the building. However, the more time you spend in such an environment, there is more of a risk of suffering the effects of carcinogens and harmful chemicals present in the fire and smoke itself. I hope this helps! @@Kabaniko-san Before this one, the command units were Mercedes. Mercedes Cab and a large box on the rear which had all of your equipment, computers, chairs and whatnot.

@@Westlondonemergency999 Ah no problem dude, I’m sorry it was just the pump haha. The pump ladder was at the Fire in Dagenham and the FRU was off the run for an assessment. I think if all three were there and available, it would’ve been a triple, but oh well! Thanks for watching 😁

@TSEmergency he just wanted to have a ride in it, we use drones now, which gives a live picture to the command units for the layout of the land and builds

Used to be called ALP(Aerial Ladder Platform), have they changed it to APL now ??
@@MrTrev2507 The appliances shown here are Turntable Ladders (TLs). The only kind of aerial in London is a TL now, the ALPs were aging and were retired. Unfortunately no new ALPs were introduced.

Why does the siren always located at the front but not on top of the fire brigade
Many years ago you would have the siren speaker or two tones on the roof, but I think to allow for a cleaner design and more clearance, it was decided to put the speaker behind the grille

@@TSEmergencyI believe LFB have an attachment for their TLs that allows for a safe access anchor point. I would imagine, if they were working on the roof which had unguarded edges they would have used this to attach lines to, with the TLs ladder set extended up above them.
