I love my 390 but with camshafts made of cheese, and made in China i will skip ktm for my next bike. Suzuki or Yamaha that it for me.
Very interesting and a contrarian opinion. Most others wax enthusiastic about this bike. Good to hear an alternative point of view. They're not available in Canada yet, but I've already got a deposit on one, so it's a good time for sober second thought. I want to replace my CRF250 with something with more power and range without going to a big bike. I had an Africa Twin, which was too heavy for off-road, so I'm hoping the 450 will hit the sweet spot weight-wise.

Well done grumps. I did that section on my Himalayan and at the time that river crossing was in flood and coming down the mountain in torrents and looked quite deep. I spent ages deciding what to do and as I was in my own I decided against it

Highly possible. I've modified my bike to suit me. Manufacturers have to build to suit everyone, Unfortunately, that means, some of us are going to spend on mods 🫤 Once again, thank you for your feedback and support 👍
Do you have to have KTMs serviced at the dealership that sold it?
Not exactly, I bought the bike in M&P Cardiff, but, unfortunately, they no longer sell KIM's. I have to go to M&P Swansea for servicing. Same company, different locations Necassary if I want to keep my warranty. You can use any KTM approved dealer, I believe, but check first.
Great review. I have only 1000km on mine and i am going into the first service in a couple of days , very happy with the bike so far. :) About the Rally mode, it also has better throttle response. Easier to rev and lift the wheel over obstacles on trails ;)

swap out the pillion seat for a nice little chrome rack would look good IMO. I'd also prefer a bit more exhaust note, but that's a personal thing.

That was a great review one bike I’m seriously considering but not in that colour 😂 you have moved me 20% more up the scale of trying one the meteor is another choice my budget is quite variable because they are competing with T120 bobber and speedmaster but I’m wondering if the RE are worth a punt especially for the price I ride a 2023 plate triumph rocket 3gt and looking for a bike a bit steadier for those steady sedate rides on a Sunday bimble and a bike to run in winter before the salt goes down then there wrapped up in the garage until spring and the rocket only comes out when it dry and sunny more of a garage queen 😂😂but the RE is I think worth a lot I’m 5’10” with 28” leg so fit me ok I think one of the best reviews I’ve seen sir thankyou very much

I agree, it's a different bike, but it is the 411 replacement. A comparison is natural, imo. However, we all have different thoughts and opinions. Thank you for your feedback 👍
I ride all year round too... but have this annoying habit of buying new bikes, so they always need there first 600 mile service normally around a week after new reg day... which means their next service is due a year later, at the same bloomin time of year again... so it is generally a pain to get them serviced on the "due" date.

spot on mate - booked my Katoom in for July, amazingly no wait or issue for the date.....LOL
It wont be the cameras or mic. They record in mono (1 channel) check your editing software and change stereo to mono somewhere. Usually in the final stage.
Checked all settings, all OK Replaced mic, now 'seems' to be recording on both channels
Let me know if you're still having issues, and if you want help. Two heads might be better than one!

As someone who wears Bluetooth hearing aids, I just can’t deal with a video that only has sound on one side.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to cure it. I've checked the camera, editing software etc, and it all seems OK?! 🤔 I'm going to try switching cameras, see if that helps 🤞 Sorry its causing you issues 🥺
@@grumpsrides6074 Maybe is recorded mono mod .. It can be mixed as joined stereo.

Nightmare to watch this on earphones. The sound for one camera goes only to the right side, and when it changes camera the sound switches for the other side. Terrible edition

That happened to my Himalayan too. Changed the bearing. Later I noticed the sprocket carrier had a wobble when the bike was in gear on the centre stand. That might have been the reason for the failure. Worth checking.

Hi mate, great review! Generally, I ride my motorcycle on asphalt. Ignoring the price difference, should I choose the KTM 790 Adv 2024 or the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro 2024? Triumph is really full of features and when I add these features to KTM it will be almost the same price. However, I cannot add some features such as electronic rear suspension and adjustable windshield. Anyway, to make a long story short, if both motorcycles had the same hardware features, if we only consider issues such as engine, brakes, suspension, balance, and fuel consumption, what would your evaluation be?
Personally, I'd still ho KTM I bought mine, specifically to go off road. If you're riding mainly road, I'd suggest Triumph Just my opinion mind. Thanks for the feedback and support 👍
