The show was so trash after they wrote off his character. I gave it 3 episodes and then stopped watching and won't be tuning in for the reboot either.

Yeah. I think it kinda ruined their relationship when JJ said she was in love with him. Though I think it was always implied that Reid had a crush on her. He did ask her out to see the Red Sox in one of the early seasons
I love how Morgan gave Reid two hugs, when they all congratulated Morgan on becoming a daddy 💜💜💜
I loved Hotch and I thought he was treated appallingly but I am glad that Emily Prentiss re-joined the family to give it some kind of cohesion.

Season 1 episode 7 “The Fox”
I despise how Thomas was treated by the network. Total 🐂💩!!! The show was NEVER as good without him. Hotch was the Spine of the team; completely dedicated and fearless. I just finished watching the Angels and Demons episodes (again! Great Writing!) (End of Season nine.) The scene where JJ starts to walk out of the CORRUPT Sheriff's office with a material witness, and a deputy tries to stop her. Hotch shuts him down cold. From anyone else, it would have come across as fake. Thomas made the scene very real! Thanks for ALL the great scenes, Thomas. You are one of the reasons I loved this show so much, I bought the DVDs! (Up to season 12. I don't know if I'll get those last three.)
He was asked repeatedly to get his emotions in check. What were the execs supposed to do? They were left with no choice but to let him go.
