I am really confused about this. A lot of people have recommended this video, but it is difficult to follow because nothing in the video looks the same as what I see on my laptop. I can add a sound font, but i cannot figure out how to add a blade style. It is frustrating because I can't find a newer video on how to do this. Does anybody have any suggestions?

After following the tutorial, my font worked, however my profile is a 2.2 single button. After changing the font, my button only controls on and off and blaster. Almost as if its a completely different button configuration somehow. I don't know how I messed it up, and I have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas out there of what I can do?

A USB cable has four wires, two are power and two are data. A data cable, has all four wires while a power only cable is missing the two data wires. So what probably is frying people's proffie board are defective cables (even data ones can be defective).

I'm not usually one for commenting on videos but this is the ASMR of lightsaber sounds or fonts my favorite was the Galvatron even though I'm sure that's not how it said it reminds me of transformers Galvatron keep these videos going I enjoy them thoroughly also if you have the time tutorial on how you added them.

I think I see what could be a config file on mine, but there are 4 and they all have what looks like the same exact code on them. Which one should I put into Arduino IDE? Also, does it need 4 of them? If anyone can help, please let me know.

This being 3 years ago and still deserves way, way, WAY more views and likes for the content showcase you did! I just got my first Proffie Board Lightsaber last month and it doesn’t t even have half of the awesome fonts, effects, and quotes that you have this 3 years back. Thanks for the List and where the sound fonts are from cause I would seriously put all of them on a Single Saber if it could fit. Or just split them around to other sabers. It’s like walking into a Gamestore but you gotta have it and try it all, the immersion, it’s a wild feeling.

Dumb question: what if our original saber provider didn't include a Config H File in the SD card? I bought one off of Artsabers and I'm currently SOL as far as changing the blade styles for each of the included presets even if I swap out the sounds the easy way.

I supose you can add a new folder and just add a new line in your roots config file without deleting other folders right? Or do you have a limited number of entries?

Is there any way u can point me in the right direction to make a blade style like the greyscale one. I love the effect when you swing it creates the wobbling visual effect. Im just not sure which fett263 style i should start with. Or if theres others. im new to this.

13:55 If I have one board thats 2.2 and another that's 3.6, does that mean I have to go to Board Manager and remove 3.6 and install 2.2 and vise versa every time I want to upload fonts?

Awesome video! The responsiveness of the blade is incredible. I know the description said this is a custom saber, but do you have any recommendations for a saber that is this responsive to blade movements?

I tried to just swap the files in the folder on my first try and then found out it keeps the colour but changes the rest

I guess I got lucky, bc it’s probably been about 6 years and they were probably less busy then. No rattle or breaking, though I don’t often duel with it. Appreciate the information for my next purchase

My personal experience with 89sabers has been bad. I bought more than a year ago, at Korbanth, an Anakin Skywalker hilt from Episode 3. I'm from Spain. I had to pay customs fees. The saber arrived and I sent it to an installer I knew. When it arrived, he told me that some pieces were missing. I contacted Korbanth, and they sent me a first shipment. But unfortunately, my country's customs detained the package. I ordered a second shipment, and this time, it arrived. I sent them to my installer, but he told me some parts didn't fit. The end result is that it only worked through the auxiliary button, knowing that it has two activation buttons. Furthermore, when inserting the blade into the handle it cracked due to the screw that was supposedly the one holding the blade. Anyway, I sold it. And I'm waiting to get an Aniflex from 7Chambers.

SO......do i need to code some kind of config file or does this come built in?

Can anyone help me, ive read, watched all tutorials on proffie board updating and adding custom sounds. I have a theory saber proffie. Their tutorial doesnt show the board being connected via micro usb. I got to the point pf adding all the code for new fontstyle and even right up to successful sketch verify. But the port is greyed out on adruino. I feel like i need to take the battery out and connect it, but their tutorial doesnt show this. I have a kyberphonic font ive added and the blade style code done. No errors, ive messaged them but no response.

I live in New Zealand so getting anything shipped here internationally is expensive. $75 USD ($123 NZD) for my sabertrio hilt to be shipped here. So, for any other New Zealanders here I'd like to mention a few local places here that I trust to buy from. 1. Sulfur City Sabers/Sulfur City Foundry This online store is run by Royston Bartholomew. This is actually two separate stores. Sulfur City Sabers is his more budget friendly store where he is partnered up with a few well known and trusted saber producers and resellers. He is partnered up with Aus Sabers over in Australia and sells some of their exclusive hilts along with a good handful of other LGT style basic non-cannon hilts. The RGB base lit and eco pixel configs he sells there are usually Xenopixle V3 but he also sells Proffie options. These range from $130 - $380 NZD ($80 - $230 USD) with a base lit setup (Including a blade) or $310 - $670 NZD ($190 - $410 USD) with a Proffie set up. He also sells Cannon hilts on this site from TXQ. These range from $420 - $730 NZD ($260 - $450 USD) in and RGB base lit set up, but they also come in SNV4 Pixel and Proffie set ups ranging from $720 - $930 NZD ($440 - $570 USD). He also sells Xeno chassis separately too and stunt and pixel blades along with a few other bits and bobs. Sulfur City Foundry is actually his first store and is where he sells the more high-end hilts and parts. Mainly Sabertrio, Saberforge and KR Sabers. He is actually one of the few resellers that Sabertrio trust to install their hilts, so he gets them empty. He also gets what he calls Grade B hilts which are hilts that have dings or scratches in them that Sabertrio aren't willing to sell themselves. This includes RTS and masterpiece hilts with awesome acid etching. Roy sells theses for slightly cheaper due to the imperfections. it also means that us Kiwis don't have to pay the massive international shipping fees. As for Saberforge and KR Sabers, he has some stock, but he also can source whatever you need. If you want a specific hilt or parts from Saberforge he can get it. He has a relationship with them, so it also usually gets here a bit faster than ordering directly from SF. He also of course sells the higher-end blades and accessories here too like S3 saber bags couplers... etc. He also directly sells individual parts like activation switch's, resistors, LED's... etc for those who wish to install themselves. Roy also personally inspects and tests sabers before he ships them. He doesn't just get them in from TXQ or Nexus and ship them still sealed in the plastic. He can also fix and upgrade hilts. He is a certified and experienced saber smith. He also runs the New Zealand Lightsaber Guild on Facebook. They host saber meets, training sessions and competitions all over the country. You'll often see Roy at his local meets in Rotorua. There also plenty of loaner sabers among the guild for new members to try out before buying themselves. Speaking of the guild... 2. There is budding secondhand market in New Zealand and guild members will often sell their old sabers when they're looking to upgrade. If you want something nice but can't afford to buy new check out the secondhand/used market. My first 2 sabers were used Ultrasabers stunts I got for $100 NZD each ($60 USD). 3. There's an online store called smoosh lightsaber shop. They are a straight up LGT reseller based in Auckland. They simply buy in bulk and do no inspections before selling. However that's not to say their products are bad. If you do get a hilt with problems, they will refund you or swap it out for you. It's just with SCS or SCF you don't even have to worry. Smoosh is also a fraction cheaper when it comes to some of their cannon hilts roughly $450 - $550 NZD ($275 - $335 USD) for a base lit cannon hilt. It is LGT after all. But the biggest thing is the range of products. compared to SCS/SCF. Way more options so if you're looking a specific obscure hilt you may find it on there but there's also a good chance Roy can source a better one if you ask him. 4. There's also Ali Express or Etsy. But be careful as they can be hit or miss if you don't do the proper research.

Don't forget that buying second hand is also an option if you're on a budget. My first sabers were second hand ultrasabers stunts for $50 each.
