    Personally the tremendous rise in mental issues many are increasingly suffering in the UK, aside of those with genuine chemical imbalances, is due to the dystopian nightmarish societal/cultural changes over the past 20 years or so that have attacked and damaged key pillars of our human strength. We have an education system which has forgotten it's primary purpose of preparing children for adulthood, to teach them to be responsible and useful. Providing the appropriate discipline and guidance. Now they are being sent out into the world soft, fluffy minded, arrogant, ready to be struck down by any slight misfortune at the first hurdle. People's sense of Identity has been attacked. Our sense of pride in our heritage and nation have been attacked and we have been shamed non stop by the media and generally left wing idealogue political movements into believing our history is one of shame and evil. The Christian values and Beliefs which instilled moral reflection, gave many Direction, strength, purpose, perspective and humility has been pushed out or watered down and replaced by empty materialism and individualism. Technology has replaced valuable human contact. People stay in doors more. Work at home more. Shop from home. Places where people of all walks of society used to congregate like pubs are now full of trashy tech and are generally far too expensive for most to go to with any regularity. People live on their phones whether at home or in public. TV is on demand. People barely read. Minds are not being strengthened. Social media dictates much of society. A megaphone voice given to the craziest, stupidest and loudest where little more than 50 characters are required to put forward their illogical simplistic views. The media are in the main vicious greedy arseholes constantly pushing lies and falsehoods, creating and glorifying terrible role models for all, promoting trashy vapid lifestyles. The cost of living has become huge. Many live in small properties in increasingly crime ridden areas with ÂŁ100k's of debt round their necks, or are paying 50% plus of their salaries on rent with little hope of buying a home. Salaries have barely moved in comparison to prices of goods etc in the last 20 years. Men have been inculcated to believe that masculinity is something bad and to be inherently ashamed of. The curtailment of freedom of speech, the introduction of hate crimes to protect the feeble minded who can't take hearing opposing views on matters that effect society. I could keep going on and on. But these and many more things have attacked the pillars of what gives us strength, strength to be happy and optimistic. It's led us to produce lost, weaker, lonelier, purposeless, poorer human beings. The loss of faith, purpose, identity, social interaction, intellectual stimulation, freedom. Yes people could benefit from therapy, but like medication it's kind of still just palliative, simply re-engineering minds to cope. The root issues still remain. We'll still be churning out the same people in the future in likely greater numbers unless there is change.

    • @thechameleon344
      @thechameleon344 Pƙed 6 dny

      Come on Patrick. After watching a superstar horse win that race, you think that Havlin getting first run on him, he would have won? The winner changed his legs and quickened again at the half furlong and sprinted clear. In fact Ryan Moore, once again with City of Troy, couldint pull him up. This after quickening from the 3F pole. Is this another empty pocket talkingđŸ€Ł.

    The reason for all the "CATTLE HERDING" at Epsom I spotted immediately. It was so that the sniffer dogs could go through everyone, that why people were contained together. Is it just coincidence that the lower attendance figure was down other factors? Surely not down to the COCAINE users not turning up?? Perhaps this problem is bigger than we think!

    The Derby may well be the most important race for a 3yo colt racing against its own age group. It is, in 2024, most definitely not the most important race for a 3yo colt. Flat racing at the highest level is commercial. Period. This very podcast stated that winning the Breeders Cup Classic is akin to being able to print your own money as a stallion. On turf, the Arc now dwarfs the Derby in profile, in prize money, in stature, in all ways in European racing. The Derby is the second richest flat race in Europe, but the Arc is more than three times its prize money value. By definition, the Arc has to be a harder race to win than the Derby. City of Troy, for example, will be asked to race against the best of previous Classic crops not just suspect stayers and lesser animals of its same age and gender. The Derby is rarely in the top 10 of globally rated races. The Juddmonte and the Arc are globally easily harder races to win than the Derby. You could include other top level WFA races as well: Irish Champion, BC Turf, Japan Cup, etc. Racing needs to move on from the Derby as being the single most important race. It is not and has not been so in the cold light of day for many years. The race, as does the Oaks, sorts out which 12 furlong horses will likely be a factor in the Arc and other absolutely top level WFA races.

    To say Auguste Rodin was the only horse to come out of the derby last year is way off the mark. Obviously there's king of steel, but white birch will be a live chance for any big 10-12f G1 he turns up for this season, passenger is currently the ap favourite for the prince of wales (albeit he raced poorly in the derby) & waipiro absolutely bolted up at royal ascot last year before shipping to Hong Kong.

    Dont worry Emmet Los Angeles won't win the English Derby. If you still feel gutted, dont, history will tell you when it comes to horses you tip anti post, they won't win. 😱 The most important lesson I've learned when it comes to anti post is taking 50s about a 4/1 shot on the day that loses, which means you still lose your money. City of Troy my god i understand why Emmet is desperate to find excuses, but the rest of the so-called experts wow. If you have kids, you must have read the kings cloths to them. City of Troy on Guineas day resembles that story just like the king was naked and no one said it on the day City of Troy had not trained on as not grown or improved from 2 to 3 and the silence was deafening. Leysnot forget Emmet Obrian may have trained more G1s than any other trainer, but let's not forget the setup. Ive always said to judge the ability of a trainer on the success, but the cost of that success, other words, the losers.

      4 weeks from being beaten 16L in a guineas looking like a horse that as not trained on from 2 to 3 both physically and ability 8/1 id rather back Hidden Law who is still 12s with half a dozen firms and sadly the horse is no longer with us. I think the stable that emmet believes will be moving to the US and destroying the british racing industry will win it. Funny, i remember as a kid Dickerson going to the US meant british jump racing was doomed. It reminds me of football having less than 5 years because of all the money drawing the stars to Saudi. In reality, it was where decent payers go to die. The chairmens jumped up and down with joy when the tranfare market closed because they could celebrate getting rid of the trash for millions who were going anyway.

    Bryony frost was proper dumbed on not just by owners but even by the jockeys club! Aiden towing the party line ... the fact shes leaving the country kinda says it all really! Good for her + i hope she does well in france. Paul Nicholls critical of other trainers for not using her was abit rich imo . He should of been giving her more rides himself. Just go and look at bryonys strike rate the last few months . Something like a 37% strike rate . Shes definitely been dropped for speaking up imo ... a subtle way of telling jockeys to keep there mouth shut! Im not the biggest Bryony frost but i think her treatment was awful 😕

    Real experts Galop wins its Arkle reborn unless it's trained in England. Galop loses its over the top or a long season. WOW, guys, dont you ever accept a race for what it is just a great face between 2 very good horses. Who is the better horse HORSE A wins 10 G1 beating inferiour stable mates and a champion hurdle with the best horse missing. HORSE B, one who batteted horse A out of site. All answers on a postcard. Plus, may i add on one hand you keep going on about how Mullins over the Jumps and Obrian on the Flat are generations ahead of everyone else. YET, on the other your criticising them because Mullins can't spot that a horse might be tired, and Obrian can't tell if a horse as grown from 2 to 3 or as retained its ability. Well 1) someone give him a measuring tape, and 2) dont make statements like his works are blowing him away, and he's the Irish Frankel. Plus, may i add El Fabiolo the horse that Jonbon had no chance against, who was the better horse based on this season, all answers on a postcode. If only Jonbon was trained in Ireland. By the way, my favourite hurdler last 3 seasons is Stateman. Good show

      @PazLeBon A few tips to make easy money, set up a charity or raise money for a cause, then make yourself the CEO and put yourself on big wages. OR set up a syndicate and take a big percentage for doing it. OR become a only tipster for a betting company, then get told by them whi h horse to tip. Only pyoblem is the tip you gove as already been cut dramaically the point being mug punters will follow anyway so why not give 10s for a horse rather than its true value at 20s. It loses bookies make money of the mug punter it wis you already saved 50% on the liability. Or did you think when race prices are cut just before the off, it's down to punters, lol Take the 2000 guineas 6 of the 7 biggest prices in the race the prices were cut dramatically WHY to greatly reduce fc returns and in office EW bets were SP was taken. As for overrated horses, i have my own rate system. You're only as good as the horses you beat. All horses deserve our love and admiration to judge them on their own achievments, not by others.

      @Dwayndibb Those who moan about Mullins usually UKs best trainers then perhaos they should work harder to keep English owers on there own shores. Perhaps instead of running scared, they should take them on instead of waisting top horses in races with big pots in order to win a trainers title. Which i may add blew up in their face this season. How much that Caldwell Potter go for yet to see a race. Now, if that horse remained with Elliott Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown would have been on the agenda. That says it all
