The Conversation 1974 - Murder Scene (short)
The score for this scene was really good, even if it was a reworking of ALIENS in many ways. James did that a lot with his scores.
The Africans and Irish surround the Camps in a wide circle so when you are in the circle at the camps you can't get out
And they saved navy seals and Norwegians and Swedish
Ira and Africans lured sas into traps in the desert And had Africans hidden underground with ground sensors And would have decimated the sas a few times Grey aliens went under the ground and destroyed thousands of them time after time And saved sas units
And this ladies and gentlemen, is why licking toads is a bad idea
This scene was SO ahead of its time!
SAS - Best special forces in ze world
Nothing a cellulose encased laser guided bomb would have done in half the time.
How accurate are these images compared to current technology . 2:10
So cute 😍
Having served in operation Dessert Storm in Afghanistan I can say Helo support would never fire so close to operators during a live mission
Operation Dessert Storm sounds delicious
📠🤹🧸🥰🩵💚🩷💟
Musique from the Aliens rescue scène, J.Horner was a great recycler.😊
I like how this sounds. She seems to have been a very interesting person!
Oh my god. The quarterback is toast!
Coward warfare!
Siloutte
For those that don't know - although this clip may well have _featured_ in an episode of "Click" in 2012, it actually dates from the 1960s: Daphne Oram was a contemporary of Delia Derbyshire and many other famous (or rather, should be) names of the BBCRW.
What I don’t get is if everyone in the camp is dead, and assuming, the reason for the attack in the first place, is the Tits in the Desert then why not take a photo of the females face to confirm who she is?
Probably weary of the other terrorist camps or even the local government forces coming over to investigate. As lethal as the SAS were, they were probably not equipped to hold a burning camp in the middle of an open desert against possible enemy reinforcements that could be armed with AFVs or mortars.
Soap: I can't believe they hit the camp with an air strike while we were in it LT. Ghost: Shut up Johnny.
Nothing beats Enemy of the State... How the hell did they find us? Because you made a phone call!..
the CGI is so bad ... why ppl accept this quality
Lets not forget how old this movie is, i remember reading about this movie in Empire and Phillip Noyce discussed how they went into great detail to portray accuracy in what real time Satellite feed would show.. You can only imagine what they 30 years later, and who knows how much spent on the forever war!!!
1:43 Jack Ryan's contempt for the coffee sipping keyboard commando is palpable.
That’s what happens when you play the game and start seeing people as nothing numbers, collateral. You can never do that. Because as long as one man exists who sees people as people, there will be Justice in the world
Vader teaching his son-in-law how its done.
Now they do it with drones. They don't even care if they target children and non-combatants.
Who is here from events of 10.26.23?
I like the idea of the movie but not the real thing. Yes, I really like James Earl Jones.
When I first saw it, I just didn't understand. I was expecting the camp to be some kind of villain's lair final battle scene, and didn't know what to make of this rendering.
somebody tell me that the one guy in the room is james earl jones so i can die happy please!
People in the operations room wet themselves when they came over the radio they also came back and saw them in the physical and questioned them they said we don't know what you're talking about we was talking to you on the radio all the time Then they played back what they saw on a satellite and they wet themselves
Zero casualties
Sas watched there men die while on satlaite in a fire fight they lost communicstions with them And they saw them fall to the ground shot They were gutted There was silence then 10 minutes later they got on the radio and said mission success all enemies destroyed
At 13 I wanted to be in the SAS, now 26 still fantasize about it.
Movie should have ended around here, with happy news of the baby on the way. The last 20 minutes or so were over the top and just action schlock that detracted from the seriousness of the movie.
Rare moment when James Earl Jones uses the higher register of his vocal chords!
What’s the name of the app?
Ryan really shouldn't be surprised when you sees Greer already in a room that he himself did not know he was going to be in 10 minutes ago. 😮
Dumb
Aliens music
maybe im wrong but the airstrike could be friendly fire if the ground forces are still on target sight, isn't it?
Reminds me of defcon in terms of atmosphere
“The SAS can come in from the desert and kill everyone there and be gone before the echo fades”. These scene blew me away when I first saw it!
Funny how they say SAS but the only special forces who use those choppers are the Canadians
Be careful what you wish for. Great scene.
Any reason why the fireworks if your plan is to kill all targets via close quarter combat? Totally illogical.
The Aliens music tho.
This scene always stuck with me. The juxtaposition here is unsettling, the writing is sparse, and the performances are all in stride.
Now we have killer flying robots who do all of that. There's even one called the "Flying Ginsu Knife" - for up close and personal kills with no collateral damage. Thanks to the Military Industrial CONplex - Citizens United / Legalized Bribery - $ 850 BILLION each year - and $ 125 BILLION of waste fraud abuse - obsolescence and duplications.
This is the music from aliens
Were the SAS an American unit in this film?! Pre 9/11 all foreign security agencies were depicted as having rings run around them by terrorist groups who were winning until an American hero saved the day and this movie typified that mindset which was very much of it’s time.
