    He might, might have had a chance if they had known to start CPR and had a defibrillator available, as well as immediate medical treatment in a hospital. It took too long. You have to get 911 on the phone and start CPR right away.

    Not a defibrillator near the benches or at least in the building?? A young, otherwise healthy person can be resuscitated nearly every time.

    I remember this vid going viral on youtubes front page 11yrs ago today, i do not really follow hockey alot but it worth remembering cherapanov. When you look at his fan pages he was truly magnetic. Of note is Jagr is still playing at a pro level and i think jagr is haunted by this too.

    • @MrSharkFIN
      @MrSharkFIN Před 4 lety

      Just to clarify before I say anything: I completely respect Cherepanov as a player and I have nothing against him, nor am i trying to hate on him. Do you know why he died? He had a really rare heart condition, which even the doctor said he shouldn't have played hockey with, which being said he still chose to play, and he used drugs to try to make the condition better. How did it turn out? Well... And like I said before, I fully respect the guy. He would've been great if he didn't have that condition.

    • @packers256
      @packers256 Před 4 lety

      @@MrSharkFIN I feel like there's something off with that explanation. A 19 yr old kid (or any age for that matter) should not have the authority to make such a decision about himself. The guy had dreams of becoming a star professional player. Of course he's gonna choose to play if he has to make a choice. But who knows. Russia.

    Wow what a tragic and almost unbelievable death for this young man and its even made worse by some of the FUCKING STUPID PEOPLE ON HERE making comments about where it happened or about the atmosphere I.E. music playing in the backround, its not like everyone KNEW how bad the situation was and regardless of where it was at have some damn respect for the guy and give praises for the efforts of everyone involved in trying to save his life. IF you don't have anything positive to say then SHUT THE FUCK UP the damn young man died for pete's sake. Quit the fucking bitching about the game being played in Russia as it would not and should not make any difference these guys did the best they could and the team had to sadly witness ONE of their own lose his life. R.I.P Alexei from one American that has to apologize for the way some of my fellow countrymen are commenting out THEIR ASSES and I am truly sorry for that and thoughts and prayers to your family!!!

  • @darkjudge8786

    Look, I'm sorry but the Russian state systematically dopes it's athletes. It make Putin more popular when Russia wins and he uses that to further his evil goals. Russians accept and fall for this because of a chip on their shoulder about the failure of the USSR. As long as you are willing to juice your young men and women to falsely claim athletic superiority and therefore political superiority then tragic young men and women will keep dying. You are a failed, corrupt and dying state with an evil ideology. The only way to succeed and be welcomed back to the club of decent, wealthy countries is to accept you failed, stop juicing your kids, get rid of Putin and ask for help. The only other outcome is a declining population and conquest by China. We are your last hope and yet you tell us to fuck off.
