This is as hypnotic as it gets, could have it on loop forever
Was this all filmed in reverse?
Is this a Stereolab side project?
Grande Erol Alkan
Wooow! Great job! ♥️♥️♥️
Why am I here and why did I like this so much?
“在深处,鱼更强大,更纯净。它们巨大而抽象。而且它们非常漂亮。” --大卫·林奇,《捉大鱼》
The dancers are so great, their dance so fun and varied, I’d love to see it in its entirety without the cuts to the band and the reverse stuff
Masterpiece❤️
Very good !!
Still such a great song, I never know it had so few views o:
Everything is absolutely gorgeous: music, dancers, drums, voice, lyrics. Everything.
Can anyone here tell me who sings in this song? Who is the woman who sings? I loved this voice ...
Okay so this song is awesome, and this band is waaaay underrated, but what are the lyrics? I mean, according to genius.com it is, ''My mind falls over and over, family'' i just always thought it was ''emily'', as in a name/person. which would make a lot of sense since it's about a ''she'' though english is not my first language so I could easily be wrong, but in my mind it always made more sense that it was a song about this girl named Emily.
Daniel it’s definitely Emily!
@@samwyld2939 Omg thanks! And this indeed is blissful perfection! :)
Brilliant, *BTWS* !
Brilliant song and perfectly matching video to go with it. If you dont think both are fab, I suggest going back to that colouring in book you havent quite finished.
i dreamt last night !
*share, por favor*
This is so funny - it's brilliant. Appearing to try so hard, yet failing at every level, from generic choreography to out-of-time -can't quite get there- dance execution. And, framed by the dreadful music and a video concept utterly devoid of originality - this is priceless. Presented with a tone of serious intent, then to reveal pure comedy. Well done guys. The Pretentious french translation really was 'la crème sur le gâteau'...
This should be on a fifa soundtrack
Heard this at a Levi’s
Great track even better to hear Euros Childs singing. Brilliant!
Viva happiness, Viva la felicità!
Oh foreal?
anybody knows where the strings sample is from?
DId you find by any chance ?
czcams.com/video/aHPCT_7xZ2M/video.html
I know you asked this years ago but i'm pretty certain the strings are from Supreme by Robbie Williams
Correcting myself here but the strings are from Dernier Domicile Connu by François de Roubaix (Robbie Williams sampled it too)
Director did a great job with the video. Haunting yet illuminating at the same time... I love it.
Simple and provocative.
Honestly this song would be a lot better without the weird electronic noises but hey its still good
0:40 for the music this tymee
The drums are so hard
beautiful vocals :)
You're in the AirFrance playlist !
Que cosa tan aburrida y tan mamona.
Shining glory of a superb album 👌🏻😎
Beautiful, the album takes on a whole new level with visuals that truly do it justice.
Good song!
This is blissful perfection 😎👌🏻
Erol, Richard your songs are fantastic, I wish to see you playing, it is fascinating. it is so estetiscist and parnassian your music... it is just amazing. I am not really good expressing my feelings in words but I enjoy a lot your music
All your songs feel so different! Really interesting.
Amazing music and visuals from their newest album The Soft Bounce. Truly a talented bunch. One of the year's best IMO. Check out their remixes for other artists as well.
Qué rola tan más rica.
This love story is set with a very 3rd person perspective, which gives us a sense of the mystery and helplessness that are so uncomfortably ever-present in dreams and destiny. Time, Death, Love, and Mystery are all present themes here, which force us to think critically and deeply. The man introduced in the beginning walks into a house, where a girl watches him enter. She keeps a skepticism alive as she keeps her distance, watching him from behind closed doors. Terra cards are introduced, which provokes a certain magical curiosity. The cards set the stage, where a masked man is happy to hand his labyrinth card to the protagonist. The song playing in Act 2 leaves me thinking of this girl as Emily. The labyrinth card is Emily. This masked man must therefore now be Emily’s ex-lover. I will also now refer to the protagonist as Jason in memory of the power rangers. She finds a key in a box within a box within a box in the attic of her house, where she begins frantically trying to find out what is behind all the doors. The house is Emily’s mind. She finds mirrors displaying faint images of Jason which fade away leaving only herself to discover…a very difficult and uncomfortable task for most. Act 3 seems to be simply an observation on the bizarreness of life in general, and how weird and mind-boggling pretty much everything about everything is. Act 4 is perhaps the climax of this short film. The crowman acquires a key and begins a journey through the house where he comes to a door he cannot unlock. Even after banging on the door, the crowgirl on the other side does not open the door. Jason is now in a wheelchair with a megaphone being wheeled around by a man in a white mask. As much as he shouts, Emily cannot hear him (or chooses not to), and neither can (or do) the two masked men, even with hearing aids. These men are likely ex-lovers of Emily’s and Jason is trying to uncover the ‘memories encapsulated’ of her past, or possibly even a present situation where Jason is insecure of who is in her life. Nonetheless, these characters dance on without him; in view, but also in silence. The act closes with crowman staring at Emily from a distance, where another masculine hand takes her. The conclusion, act 5; the house is now empty. The old man listening to the record (perhaps a timekeeper?) now speaks of this tale to us, teaching us that love is complex and could leave you the same way that Emily now distresses, tossing and turning in her sleep. The crowpeople now dance without her before approaching her bed together. Here, they return the 4 keys that they once held to her house, as they no longer need them. The keys are useless to them. And then the only remaining thing is the record player. Time continues on even after death…
I'm following this, definitely
I wish this was longer! I've been walking round my house for days singing, 'ooooooo, oooooooooooooooooooooooo'
I heard this on my local SPORTS RADIO SHOW of all places! I was floored to hear this Bossa Nova style coming out of my speakers.
This video is awesome
As well as the song
Badwig kinda invented this sound
