The list continues to grow and grow. Who knew there were so many trails out there? Every time one is complete, you learn about 3 more! The goal of this channel is to not only bring you with us along these journies to see what experiences go into thru-hikes, the people, the places, the weather....oh the weather sometimes...... but to also give you a more comprehensive guide to each trail. Along with a few Constantine rambles mixed in for good measure. Hope you enjoy, and please feel free to reach out to the below email anytime, with any specific question trail related, business related, or any general questions or to just say hi!

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 30th, 2023 Day 14, 26.9 Miles, THE END! The last day of April, the last day of this hike. Horsepower was awake and stepping around 5:40am~ knowing his back was going to cause issues with the miles ahead. We soon followed breaking camp around 6:40am~ as the sky was just beginning to catch its first rays of light. The first few miles were well graded track with more th...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 29th, 2023 Day 13, 23.3 Miles Great Meadows Camp is a perfect camp spot… besides the fact you have to cross a creek to get to it. A log spread its breath but a few steps in we decided that wet feet was an easier pill to swallow than falling and being fully submerged. Horsepower crossed it, we splashed into shin high water. Some people chose the “easy” path, some peop...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 28th, 2023 Day 12, 22.5 Miles The night in the converted hay barn was almost too comfortable to break its gravitational pull. A slow morning filled with breakfast, coffee, and conversation had us leaving later than planned, well worth it. A quick resupply at a gas station, a heartfelt thank you to Mary and a hug later, we were back to stepping. We had a goal in mind ...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 27th, 2023 Day 11, 26.2 Miles Just a hiking marathon… easy enough. Today was not easy. The GPS trace was off in many areas, which led to what we all believed to be some extra “mystery miles.” The terrain was chonky. Then the torrential rain… oh the rain. First, though the day began with some quality stepping up towards Barren Fork Camp to refill our water bottles and...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 26th, 2023 Day 10, 31.3 Miles What a doozy of a day! Mcdiddle, Mcdaddle, McNuggets type of day! The morning began with some lazy lake miles around Laurel Lake, misty water that promised depths unfathomable, and made dark by Horsepower’s reference to a horror movie about a lake… thanks man. Crossing the bridge near Laurel Beach signified the entrance into another worl...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 25th, 2023 Day 9, 28 Miles No Uber, no desire to hitchhike, no rideshares. The only way out of London, KY came in the form of a single taxi company, and an incredibly Deep South experience. The driver was… polarizing to say the least. Due to being in the far back, we could only hear about 5% of the conversation, but in that small percentage the flavor was defined. It...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 24th, 2023 Day 8, 26.3 Miles Another chilly morning in the books, hardest part breaking the seal of the sleeping bag. We had a time split to reach of 5pm to meet a trail Angel, Professor had been messaging with, and 26~ miles to do so. The inevitable came and we broke the seal. Perplexingly as the morning stepping began the cold began to get deeper. A full hour or tw...

Sheltowee Trace Trail April 23rd, 2023 Day 7, 18.2 Miles ( 2~ into town miles) A chilly morning welcomed us as we packed up camp and began our trot out of Turkey Camp. A few gobbles, giblets, and yodels was the tune of the conversation as we picked our way along twisting two track. A mixture of two track, single track, gravel, and downed trees was the flavor of the physical mileage. More “racec...

That was a Maori land protest they would of let you in
Such a shame the russell forest section is closed was beautiful
Pie here .... Teh Ah Ra roa. Maori is just like the vowel sounds but with the other letter so a e I o U becomes ta te ti to yu and so forward dont worry most European New Zealanders get it wrong love the videos miss the trail only done the Northland legs
Miss vicariously living in your shoes. Would love an update to at least what the future holds for you. Even if that means no more hiking videos. No closure is bad closure 😢. Loved your book and do appreciate the personal message in it. Meant a lot!
How are you, Constantine? Please let us know you are ok! God bless you! 💙🙏🏻
I made a sign ahead of time I held up so boaters could see I wanted a ride over. Got a ride within an hour.
thank you for good video, living in germany it is lovely to walk in another country
Are you guys wearing your normal hiking boots through the Swamp or are you using a second pair? Some type of water shoes looks like hiking boots to me.
30:21 a stoat runs across the road behind Constantines hand 😅 Good to see a series on the TA for crushing miles, I think people get too bound up in the huts sometimes and that leads to unnecessarily short days, plus theyre a pain when really full especially if youre the ones on the floor! 😆
You were blessed by the manager at the Econo Lodge! Was so nice he let you borrow his car to go to Walmart for your resupply! I have been watching your whole trail trip. Manitowoc is hard to pronounce if you aren't from Wisconsin and so is Oconomowoc. It is a good way to tell if you grew up in Wisconsin or not to ask people to read the names of those two towns. I am really enjoying watching your trip on the Ice Age Trail!
Where is everyone? Miss you guys
Just wondering if you ever got your shoes after they bounced around the US Postal Servce in Wisconsin.Maybe they pop up in a future video? I will have to watch more of them. I probably would have stayed in Westfield, Wisconsin another day or two to see if they showed up. You don't seem to stop in the bars or other places to stop to talk to local folks. Everyone makes different decisions about time on trips. You have a super fast intense hiking pace. I am watching all of these Ice Age Trail thru hiking videos and following the Ice Age Trail Alliance Atlas along with the hikes. I plan to do segment hikes but not thru hikes. Good for you that you achieved all this before the pandemic hit! I have had packages bounce around as well but am just curious about whether you ever got the shoes that were supposed to be there in Westfield.
Bro what are you using for a mic? love this!
Dude i have never seen that NCT building open and i'm always in Lowell hiking there haha
Those red specks are seed ticks. Very few go in the woods in the south in the summer. You now know why. Summer time in Arkansas is hot and dry. It is a different place in the winter, usually not too cold, and no ticks, plenty of water.
Will have to buy your book. Have you considered hiking all the national trails?
all the construction makes me sad…
I’d be scared in the deep water.
Schroon Lake is pronounced Skroon.Lake, not Shroon. Went there as a teenager 43 yrs ago. You filmed the Word of Life Inn sign. I went to Word of Life Island in the middle of that larger than it looked lake, a church youth camp and had a friend who went to the. Word of Life Bible Institute in town. Beautiful Island, and good memories!
New York is my home. There is so much to New York, besides the Farmers fields. I am glad you enjoyed Watkins Glen and Ellecottsvile. I think you would enjoy the rest of the FLT to the Catskills. Come back and give us another chance.
This channel is dead. Book must not have gone so well.
You could have slept on the bunks which would have kept you dry
Just want to say thanks for all the detailed info you provide in your videos. Even tho this a couple years old now, still such great source for planning my own hikes! Really appreciate it!
Grade a hiking
I live in Westfield which is the town with the Walmart so really cool to see it in the video
As an American, I can confirm that is a microscopic cake.
What thermal top layer are you guys wearing??
Hey Ryan, I just need to let you know you have helped me in some dark times. As anyone can see, we are fulfilling scripture in the Bible and it’s a good time to know Christ. In day-to-day of life, you have kept me smiling and looking forward to your hiking videos. I am legally blind, so getting out there with no partner is not currently possible. God will bless me with my new relationship, but in the meantime, your channel brings me peace of mind and heart. You are a true blessing and your videos are way more than a hike in the woods for me and I’m certain, many others. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face and a sense of “it’s all going to be ok…no matter what.” God bless you and keep you. Praise Yah you found your way into so many hearts. 💜✝️🙏🏻
Oh my! This area brought back memories. Where that sign says Stay Out, had the sherriff called on me bc the grumpy landowners signage wasnt clear or accurate. That sign wasnt there in 2015.
Hey guys, hope you’re all good , been a while since you’ve uploaded. Hoping your brewing something special
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed the book, looking forward to future videos. Hope you and yours are well!
Yo you fartin at 1:54?
Hey Constantine! I'm curious why you have stopped making/posting youtube videos. Is everything alright with you? I hope so and am looking forward to hearing about your latest adventures!!
'dont bring any new gear.. its going to get thrashed" 🤣🤣🤣.. laughing causeI know! The Colorado plateau has a way of pricking your clothes, ripping your pack, and destroying your shoes! No easy walking! Put aqua seal on your shoes too! Congratulations on the completion !
😂 CONSTANTINE! Just in your last video you talked about planning!! This is why you plan! There is a sneak around the waterfall, looking down canyon its on the left!!! Oh man! Ive been to that waterfall and HOLY SHIT you all are crazy for just hitting it strait on!
Karma and Scott. fantasti great videos
Gnarly! Good to know the Colorado is no bueno. Of course id use aquamira, but even then its still bad, good to know.
Holy fuck... when does it end.. yea hold out hope I agree , but good lord that just goes on and on. Whenever Im in situations like that Im constantly counting 1/10ths of a mile.. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING SHORTS!?
Nuts.. I think Ill shoot for this section around May 1.. that looks horrible.. insane how much more snow there is past Jacobs Lake
The red algae slime is from iron-oxidizing bacteria that have died off. It’s natural, except in areas of acid mine runoff like Pennsylvania. But gross.
Realized I haven't heard "morning morning" in a while. Hope everything is going well with you and your family.
Was that you I just saw around marker 130 ?
I recommend the E4 Crete section. An October hike works well for this, takes about 30 days, maybe less. Still warm, tourist crowds are mostly gone and prices drop significantly. Average hotel was about 50 Euro, even cheaper in smaller towns. Did get rain a few days. So yeah its a Camino vibe but not quite. Some road walking. Some camping options, though many times in someones olive grove. Maybe 40% camping for me. Many cool gorges to hike through on the way and the White Mountains were a major highlight, one of the best of any hike for me (the weather was perfect when I went through). Mt. Ida and Mt. Spathi were amazing. The Greek people are fantastic, many speak great English, the country is steeped in history and archaeological sites. Some of the beaches I passed and swam at were beautiful. When you are finished end of Oct you can continue on to more touristy destinations like Santorini (amazing), Milos (Kleftiko), etc. Again, the tourists are mostly gone at this point. Plus you will be passing through Athens so you can spend some time there too.
What do you do with the frozen burritos? Just let them thaw and eat them on day 1 or 2? Sounds like a killer trail meal. Somehow I ended up back on the NCT series because I was wondering what the UP looked like, if it was good hiking, thinking that a UP > Superior Trail combo would be a pretty awesome fall combo. I haven't kept up with any of your videos since the GET so lots to catch up on. Are you guys planning on doing any hikes in 2024? The Northern New Mexico Loop is calling your name.
Z has a great singing voice!!😂
You left Needles Outpost with four days of food, and I remember you saying that was probably overkill. But it wasn’t! All you had left the morning of this video was a honeybun and chocolate bar, and a 20+ mile hike ahead of you! I’ll be sure and carry at least 5 days of food when I leave Needles Outpost on March 15 this year! Thank you for the videos!!!
I’m interested in taking the Chesler canyon alt, but where exactly did you climb out? Was is a Skurka alt? Is there anyway, (Gaia GPS screenshots🤷🏼♂️) I could see how you got out? Thank you!🙏🏼
