Normal controller 20 dolars other is 150 dolars
I used gamepad at the beginning, because i didn't have fpv drones and radio, just dji drones and Tello drones with bt / wired gamepad. But i bought a emax radio comes from a tinywhoop kit, that's surely better.
I like that older style canopy. My 2024 mobula 6 lost video feed in 2 packs of light use. HappyModel support was non-existent. I was avoiding BetaFPV because of what I've read. But in my experience HappyModel was every bit as terrible as the things I read about betaFPV. So maybe I'll try a meteor 65/75 next
Sorry to hear that. Definitely hit or miss with these things.
OUCH! Cool video man! I'm loving mine! Hope you're loving it as much as I do!
Thanks man! Definitely enjoy flying this thing. I just got the maple antenna after watching your video on it since I already broke the stock antenna.
@@NotSoScale sweet man! That maple wireless is so much better. I could go slightly further with it. Haha glad that video helped man! Happy flying bruddah!!
Love the video, good info
Thank you!
Cool video! True diversity antennas and getting rid of that linear antenna will improve range and static. Plus ratel 2 so you can fly in low light.
Thanks for the recommendations!
bro i bought liftoff and uncrashed and was thinking on getting drl to start my fpv journey and while watching your vid i asked myself if i ever claim drl for free (cause i didnt remember to) and i just checked my library and it was there LMAO THANK YOU
here its more then 150 dollar
That's TOO EXPENSIVE! I got mine for $80 with vouchers shipped from China. Just check for deals online.
If you start off on a gamepad, you really need to swap to a radio sooner than later. I tried flying a brand new RTF kit out of the box with a month of solid gamepad experience I was racing at a slow pace without crashing. But my maiden IRL flight with a radio was a disaster. The left stick goes all the way down on my new controller, how hard could it be? It's a completely different muscle memory and I nearly lost my drone on the maiden flight.
I'm jealous of your upgrade. Very nice!! I am trying to change to a 2 speed gearbox on my C24. I purchased a 30A ESC, lighting kit and 6ch remote control to convert to a 2 speed gearbox. A problem occurred. The wires from the ESC to the motor and the motor and ESC overheat within 20 seconds. I looked for several videos on 2-speed gearbox upgrades. But I didn't get a solution so I reverted to the stock motor and gearbox. Is there a solution for overheating?
Hello, it's normal for the esc and motor to be warm after a while but it should't be too hot to the touch. Maybe double check your wiring and make sure you are using batteries that the esc can handle (im assuming 2s batteries only). If this doesn't solve it then maybe try using a different esc. Hope this helps.
@@NotSoScale Thank you for your kind reply. I use 2s 1500mA battery. I already used the plastic square 40A esc and it got hot so I returned it and found your video. I then ordered and installed an ESC similar to yours, and it also got hot. LOL The 2-speed gearbox I bought is not a genuine WPL product, but a third part made of metal. I suspect it may be because my 2-speed motor is not WPL.
@@NotSoScale Oh, thank you. I only have one 2S 1500mA battery. I'm going to disconnect the motor from the gearbox and run just the motor. I expect that it will be revealed whether it is a gearbox problem or a motor problem. I'll keep trying. thank you.
@@NotSoScale Oh, sir, I just found out the cause through testing. As long as the motor is running, there is no significant heat generation. The cause was the gearbox. Perhaps this gearbox is not sophisticated enough to overload the motor. I wasted my money. LOL
Nahh bro I've just seen your video and you honestly just suck i can do these with a gamepad just fine even with little experience
The problem is these controllers have a big dead zone where it doesn't sense movement
Hey bro where are you from?
Cool but your controller looks like its from the stone age. It would probably work better with a new controller.
😂
Its the f310 which is still a solid controller you can get brand new for $20 to $30
@@almaka17 womp womp
@@wachaczz ok??
You mean his gaming controller or the actual drone radio? Cause if you mean game controller - can confirm PS5 controller is no better. Joysticks offer low tier functionality when flying sim
Hey what would be your opinion using an FPV controller for a flight simulator such as msfs? I'm currently searching for a compact HOTAS system.
I haven't tried using fpv controllers for flight sims but I saw some posts on reddit saying that fpv controllers work fine. A dedicated HOTAS system would definitely still be better in the long run if you intend to focus on flight sims. I personally wouldn't get an fpv controller just for flight sims. Hope this helps!
I've set up my black sheep tango 2 for MFS, just to see if it works. I does. I've also set it up to fly helicopters for Squad works really good there
Nice! Just needs a driver! :)
Can you do the opposite? As in use the fpv radio controller as a game controller for other games?
I think it's possible but im not sure about how good it would be for different types of games.
Really excellent video! You are absolut right to take time or even make a break, because building rc vehicles is a hobby not work. Keep going, thumbs up, best greetings from Austria/Europe!
Thank you so much!
Nice flying! What happened to the uploads? ;(
Thank you! Don't worry, I have a video coming soon.😉
@@NotSoScale awesome!
thanks !
thanks big brother
Bonjour , Est ce que elle peut Drifter sur du bitume
Hello, it can do small slides but not really drifting. If you want to do drifts, you need to get an RC drift chassis, not a TT02. Hope this helps!
Bro I love your videos. Highly underrated. Do you recommend this drone for an intermediate fpv pilot to build their first fpv drone? Keep it up
Hey man, thank you so much! The 3.5 inch class is a great place to start for a first fpv drone build. In terms of frames, the manta 3.5 frame I used in the video is a bit heavy but it flies fine. However, you may want to look at lighter frames for better freestyle performance. I highly recommend doing your own research since this is the only frame I tried so far and there are other frames in the market that may suit your needs better. Good luck on your build!
Thanks for this video, Even though I'm struggling with the gamepad. Need to buy an FPV Radio Controller, Please suggest any low budget RC for FPV simulator

Radiomaster pocket!
@@user-fo4lu5zr5r does it matter if its 6CH or 8CH one ? Will it work with Velocidrone sim? Thanks in advance!
@@luisocampo3518 8 channel one is better in my opinion
Radiomaster pocket, the $50-60 ones don't come with batteries though. You need to buy 2x 18650 batteries. You'll also need a long enough USBC data cable. The one that comes with is a bit too short. I've used it in TRYP/DRL Simulators. Most sims have similar detection, so I'm sure it works in Velocodrone.
Looks good!
The diff gears are plastic? Not sure about how strong that will be, did you have any issues?
I haven't had any issues with the diffs but the pinion and spur started to develop a grinding sound and sometimes wouldn't spin smoothly. I checked and there weren't any missing teeth on any of the gears. The gear mesh also seems fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'll try to replace the pinion gear since that might be the issue, as I read somewhere that the metal pinion that comes with kit is made of soft metal and wears out easily.
@NotSoScale oh okay, that's good to hear. Good luck on the repair and thanks for the info, I'm planning on picking one of these kits up soon.
nice
what is the name of the simulators
The sim in the video is DRL Simulator but there are other FPV drone simulators like liftoff and velocidrone.
Caraaaa ficou linda pra caralho

Great job with the body. PS16 is awesome on everything 😛
next video....fpv gamepad style controller vs real size tx18s controller - just saying boss
This is mostly based on one's preference and I don't have a full sized controller for comparison 😁
I started on the game controllers like this...after I finally got the tx18s I can't use anything else. My say in this :)@@NotSoScale
Did you also put diodes in the front lights?
Nope
Awesome video man! I am currently learning how to make an FPV drone and this video really helped me gain more knowledge. Great video man!
Thanks man! Glad I could help.
Welcome to the hobby! Good info; many people try and are instantly discouraged...but "the right tool for the right job" and all that👍
Nice video, been using my controller for almost 2 weeks now and i just order a radio control, cant wait to use it!
200!
don't crash as the arms are only 4mm lol - also when you buy a frame make sure it has spare arms for sale as this one just makes you buy a whole new frame if you break one arm....you'll learn in time.

The build looks great man! awesome job, especially for your first build. This is the kind of work you see after people have been building for years.

welcome to the club!
Nice work, great video…gave me some ideas
Glad to hear it!
Nice video, earned a new sub. Keep em coming
Thanks man!
Just got into FPV, too. Instantly hooked! Built 2 whoops, a 2 inch, 3.5 inch and a 5 inch. Got carried away and savings are gone...lol😂🤦 Just a suggestion, put some conformal coating on , to avoid shorts. And NEVER try to plug the usb in with a battery plugged in! Ask me how i know...😅
I'm actually saving up for a tiny whoop 😆. Thanks for the tips!
Maybe instead of two screws that are way too long you should just use 4 of the right size and it’ll be lighter 😂, that statement was so ridiculous. But I liked the video, I’m not hating
Glad you liked the video! Those were the screws included with the vtx and I just wanted to finish the build so I didn't bother with ordering shorter ones. Also 2 long screws would still be lighter than 4 long screws and the vtx is secure even with just two screws but yes, ideally you would want to use shorter screws.
That camera looks incredible. Probably the best analog one. BTW very nice flight for being your first attempts.
Thanks a lot!
what frame is it
Axisflying manta 3.5″
that introduction about fpv vs camera drones felt like it was written by chatgpt😅
It wasn't, but I'll improve my scripts next time.
Good stuff and welcome to FPV! No full send? :) You'll get there soon enough.. Best flights!
Thank you! Once I find a good spot and get enough practice, I'll definitely full send it. Still trying to be a bit careful now cause I don't want to to break the quad immediately and buying new parts would hurt my wallet 😆
Great and informative build video, I’m building my first drone soon. I want to suggest a small correction, while traditionally you do fly in acro mode (aka no mode), you can have some level in assisted-stabilization by selecting other modes (such as angle mode)
Thank you and good luck on your first build!
yeah, I learned using the Stabilization mode also.... but you soon realize it's a waste of time. Going Acro actually feels like flying, while Stab feels like driving. The Stab mode is handy when you lose video and need to punch up to recover the signal.
