Since the early 2000s my family have been loyal purchasers of Toyota's vehicles. Well, we have seen through the dealerships scheme to hyperinflate prices and our next purchase WILL NOT be a Toyota. Just yesterday i was at a Toyota dealership and i asked him about the complete lack of vehicles on their lot and i was told that Toyota is suffering from an inventory issue as are ALL dealerships. Meanwhile, the Hyundai dealership directly across the street was completely packed with vehicles. I also drove around and saw no lack of inventory on any other manufacturers lots. A total scam that is driving prices up by a minimum of thousands of dollars per vehicle. I love Toyota but will NOT buy another one.

I'm calling their bullshit out. Bought a 2016 corolla after a lease I have had it for 3 years for $12,000. 21' tacoma. Dealer buys it from Toyota for 27,000. sells it to me for $36,000. I put 5k down and pay 12k over the last 3 years. I go to trade it in when the lease was up, they claim I owe 18,000 on the truck for the trade in difference. Then try to claim I need another 2k for the depreciation of the truck. That it was only worth 16k total. (of course there is no equity in the lease). Then I have to give another 4k downpayment for the next lease. Then pay $700/monthly.. FOR A FUKING COROLLA.... -_- NOT just one dealer, this was mulitple dealers. The cheapest I could get it (with good credit) was $490 a month.... While their website says It's $210-230/monthly. for a base corolla lease. So I decide to extend the lease. Then try to purchase on the 18k number that is listed on my lease agreement contract and what they told me in the store. When I get toyota to send me the purchase agreement, they have 27k listed for the purchase. After arguing with them for a day about it. I find the original contract that I had printed out in 2021. SURE as rain... Listed purchase price is there at 17k. Yet the adjusted gross value is listed as 27k. They claim I changed the numbers.. When I printed it directly from their website after I signed. I agreed to the lease specifically because it had 17k listed as the purchase price after the lease. Dealerships are all crap. Direct buys would make sense if they actually did it. But even then, Toyota Financial won't help people get into cars. They will continue to no honor contracts.

I was never an EV fan until my wife and I rented a tesla while on vacation.. lol 2 months later i sold my car and got a used model y and my wife a ford mache. As soon as you actually drive one, you get it. All the EV hate comes from people who have never driven one or just resist change.
