Professional welder makes a rookie mistake!!! #migwelding #funny #whatnottodo #cool #arizona #fun

For those of you who aren't familiar with welding, in order to weld... you need to make sure that you have a complete circuit. I forgot to add the grounding table. I got all caught up in getting everything set up and made a rookie mistake of forgetting the grounding cable. ANyone else do this before?

We had a job come where we needed to make a spacer to stabilize the handle bar on an electric bike. We used our new GOM Scan 3d scanner to get all the measurements we needed to create the spacer. We used our waterjet to cut the part from 1" thick aluminum. It turned out great. Let us know below if you have any comments or questions!!

    So what was the problem. ? My thermocouple line looks flat in one area. Not sure how it works but can it be that the copper light does not allow gas to go to thermocouple

      The design doesn't allow the knob to be fully depressed. So by putting a little tin foil in the knob allows it to be fully depressed.

    Thanks for showing the whole procedure. It's too bad there isn't a way to find more room to work in there. Is there any trick to refilling the inverter once all the Hardware plugs and bolts are reinstalled? Do you have to be concerned about air bubbles? Do they have to be bled out?

    Well I tried the foil thing and no go. Got a thermalcouple no go. Well what happened is when pushing the button to light the pilot mine required even more foil. I figured it out by putting a small helper on the stud to help me turn without the knob. My guess is the specs on the build is not tight and different units need different amounts of foil. After stuffing in enough it worked. Now how to know you have enough. Put in a little. Turn the knob to pilot. If it touches the metal face of the oven put a little more. Keep doing this until you get a least a gap that a piece of folder paper will slip under. Another thing you could do in worse case if you need so much foil your knob is lose would be use a marker, draw a line around the knob on the face and dremal out the metal so the knob slips into the opening. That's all. But it does work.

    I’m assuming like most cars you have to let the engine run for a little bit to help the oil drain easier before beginning?

    • @thehawksnest
      @thehawksnest Před 2 lety

      Yes, if the oil is heated up (from running) it will have a better viscosity to flow out. Same concept for having a block heater in very cold climates. I think when changing your oil, it might be semantics 🤷‍♂️.
