What happens when black play bh1
Thank you! I missed that move. After bh1, move the rook to g1 attacking the bishop, then when the bishop moves, you use the same technique to win it!
I beat Peter Biyiasas in about 25 moves as black in a weekender.

Wow didn’t know this. I’ve always wanted to see this position but never took the time to find it. Nice detail that it would have been checkmate either way but Ron sacrificed himself so that harry could go on
who's move is it? like I know black is on the bottom, but you should've said "black to move"
@@umikaliprivate thank you! I just updated the title
You could have taken rook c4 at the first move
If Queen takes rook on c4, black gets checkmated in two moves. queen to a7 (check), and after the king moves, queen to a8 checkmate. That’s why black needs to strike fast with check.
Backrank mate.
Thanks for analyzing my dad's game in the 2006 Canadian Open! We have many fond memories of those events, especially appreciating your fine company!
It was a nice blast from the past for me as well! :)
Well done!
Rook h8+, kings takes, queen h1+, king g8, queen h7#
I would have forked his queen and rook and got free material, get free material and make another queen with the other passed pawn then easy win fr Love your work, keep doing what you are doing
I thought it was trade queens
In this position, black has the extra rook so trading queens would leave white without a way to make progress.
Thanks 👍
Very easy!
Check out my playlist called advanced checkmates!😊
Try starting with the rook! 😊
Move the bichop to c7 so it will check the king 2 ways and the king cant kill the bichop causes the rook is protecting it so the king is forced the move d7 so it will be checkmate
Awesome video!
THE TITLE SAYS BLACK TO MOVE
Thank you! This has been corrected!
If he does capture the pawn instead?
The black king cannot capture the pawn because it's defended by the rook on h1!
@@NoviceChessChanneloh, I missed that rook,thanks)
Nice
without stopping to watch, Queen to f7 check, king has to move to h8, knight to h7 threatening discover mate, at which point blacks last move is knight to h7 followed by rook h7 checkmate.
Yes that solution works!
thank you so much that helped a lot
No problem! Please like and subscribe :-)
how did you get that board theme
It's from chessbaes 11. The pieces are called Fritz, the board is called green marble and the table is called dark wood.
