This misinformation is frustrating to beginners, and I believe it harmful in not only the wasted time spent attempting methods of gardening like this (or any hobby, really), but also the wasted time researching best methods (with so much information out there, it's hard to find anything evidence-based), money wasted on "hacks" and failed attempts, and the demoralization from thinking there's something wrong with me, the soil I'm using, etc., leading to diffidence and ultimately an enormous amount of money spent on the "best" of anything (books, soils, soil amendments, green houses, etc.) that will improve my garden. It really takes the joy away from such a rewarding hobby. Unfortunately, the repeated and relentless videos of such completely false deception causes novice people (i.e. me) begin to believe it as truth, as how can that many people be trying to deceive people in such an "innocent" way. This is indeed NOT innocent, for all of the reasons mentioned before, as well as other reasons I'm sure others who are scammed for your monetary gain and notoriety.
