Her reaction is not normal at all in particular if they kill your flatmate and friend. I will be out of my mind finding out something like that! As she isn't, why was she trying to figure out more about the situation than panicking for the murder of her flatmate? Weird ! Weird ! Non believable at all

    I used to love listening to Medved, but nowadays all I hear from him is BS trump bashing and undeserved propping up if anyone opposed to trump. Trump could cure cancer and Medved would explain to use how he didn’t REALLY come up with the cure and the cure doesn’t actually cure anyone…I’m barely kidding. Nikki going over everything trump didn’t talk about after losing to him again is funny because it’s all trump had talked about the last few years yet Medved agreed with her, claiming trump sounded like an angry old man which is ridiculous and it’s funny that Nikki claiming trump is losing his cognitive reasoning and that’s why anyone over the age of 75 should b tested (trump passed perfectly according to the doctor running those tests) for mental health, so with all the critique she throws out there and Medved agreeing with her, Americans are still choosing him over her. For good reason. Medved lost me as a listener and a fan and I’ve lost the guy that I considered a moral compass to follow, and a great teacher that’s turned into a propagandist who either lies about the former soon to b new president of the United States, or purposely closes off any avenue of information that could hit his ears so that he can speak out of ignorance rather than lie. Disagree with me all you want, but this is as true as true gets.

    I've never been able to make up my mind whether she's guilty or not but watching this, she definitely feels off. A startling lack of emotion, up until right at the end when she talks about when she realised they suspected her. She's relaying what feels like a very rehearsed version of events and includes so many details that it seems strange to me to even remember after what would be such a shocking and traumatic event. The little laughs make it seem like she's just telling a story of something strange/funny that happened with her and her friends once, not talking about the horrific murder of her friend. Also, of course the 'skinny woman with lank hair' (lovely description Amanda) seemed off with you, your friend has just been discovered brutally murdered and you're going up to her talking about a shit in the toilet. Why the obsession with that? She talks about that as if it was more disturbing than the actual murder of her friend. I'm not sure but something just doesn't seem right about her.

    • @mytrip6991
      @mytrip6991 Před 5 měsíci

      By the time this interview was given, she'd told the same story over and over and over again for years which may give you the impression it was 'rehearsed'. She remembers and relates the many details due to having to repeat them so many times starting the day the murder was discovered. Do you expect her to get all emotional and cry every time she's asked to repeat the details of that day? After all, she'd only known Meredith for 6 weeks years before and been through so much trauma herself. She's damned if she cries as being "crocodile tears" and damned if she doesn't as being not being "empathetic". For some people, she just can't win because they see what they want to see depending on their bias. Why shouldn't she point out to Monica Napoleoni the feces in the toilet? It's one of the things that disturbed her as being totally wrong in the house because she knew her roommates wouldn't leave it unflushed. When she looked the second time, it had sunk to the bottom and from her view looked like it had been flushed between the time she'd first seen it and when the police arrived. But by whom? I'd mention that to the police...and likely you would have, too. By the way, that same policewoman was later sentenced to over 3 years in prison for misconduct in another matter.

  • @rachelhornback91
    @rachelhornback91 Před 6 měsíci

    Actually, her body language is completely indicative that she is telling the truth. Consistently. Everyone saying she lying is ignoring there is no real significant indicators of deception. Everyone has seen the true bad actors (while too many to name, I’m looking at you Chris Watts) and how they act and this just isn’t it. She shows almost 0 deception cues. While it might seem strange to some people and they might think no eye contact always means lying, to look down and to the right when speaking & recalling memories shows connecting to true emotion attached to the recall of the memories being spoken about. The way her eyes almost narrow stare to a specific point that isn’t eye contact with others gives the body language indication of replay of actual events. When she is recalling she almost never moves her eyes from the point it is at; almost like a tunnel through real time, like she can see what she’s actually saying and replay it fully. Although, she does appropriately look up at some points to make positive eye contact but it’s natural. Not what someone does when making things up. This is too detailed and has been consistent many years later still. Her innocence is why she’s incredibly detailed. She may feel the need to give such detailed remembrances as though she has to overly convince others because no one believes her. Another reason to avoid eye contact is being uncomfortable sharing those experiences. Also, shame that may be attached to the fact that her roommate was murdered, people think she’s the one who actually did it and how a person this intelligent (who knows it) can be fooled into doing something that they know they wouldn’t do under normal conditions like a false confession. She explains it almost like she herself can’t even believe it actually happened like that. People who lie purposefully make almost constant eye contact because they feel the need to make it seem that they are confident in what they are saying & believe that it in turn makes them appear more believable to do so. The way she is here is her base. If you’ve seen more of her interviews even to today, she is always like this and speaks this way. While in this interview she does absolutely make unnecessary smiles & some inappropriate laughter, with the context it is in comes more as a reaction to talking about uncomfortable things. We all do that- just not with the knowledge that the whole world watching, that a murder occurred and plenty of people think you did it. We also don’t know what the terms of this interview were. Seems that the interviewer is asking very little questions at all. This very well may have been meant to be a long form interview of her explaining what happened uninterrupted. Any skilled interviewer would have cut in with questions far long ago were that meant to be the format. I think it gives us really interesting concept on what happens when someone can’t actually grasp what’s happening to them. It seems more so in her normal nature to be this way. I can imagine the cops saw her acting like this and also thought her reactions were abnormal and weird. But that certainly doesn’t make her a murderer. IMO, this is a true case of “everyone reacts differently”. One of the things that stands out to me the most watching this particular interview and others: very often she explains that she “wasn’t understanding”, “couldn’t put it together”, “wasn’t sure” “things didn’t make sense” and makes many variations of those statements. Maybe that’s exactly what all this was for her. Just something traumatic she couldn’t understand or fully grasp what was happening. Regardless, the true evidence certainly points to the real person actually responsible. And it’s not her. Can’t believe out of all the people in the world that people scream innocence for who actually aren’t innocent, that she hasn’t been seen in a more forgiving and understanding light all these years later. I feel like if people were more educated on the psychological aspect of making a false confession they would see that her experience checks all the boxes. Just like most aspects of crime, people put way too much emphasis on what they “think” they would do if it was happening to them. And for the vast majority that might be true. But for some, it’s an unfortunate life changing experience. And I think that’s Amanda here. That doesn’t take anything away from the horror that happened to Meredith. But, better to have the true monster than one that needs to be made into one.
