So this was how the pyramids were built....
Just failed a city Inspection because low voltage CTs are rated 300V, which is class 2 wire and not allowed to be used in the same enclosure. Could anyone address this issue?
Was waiting for this to show up in app or online training
what kind of jerk uses a t20 for the ground bar
"Requires only a few tools, T20 Torx" proceeds to use the incorrect size torx in the ground bar....
Is somebody recharging a Ford Lightning from the cybertruck at the end of the video😂
Notice how the red line side conductor kept changing between right side and left side of the line side breaker throughout the video? Should have redone this before posting onto Tesla Installer Academy. Need to note why the feed conductors are in the location before and after a breaker is installed for phasing purposes (they cross within the breaker itself). Can the phase lugs on the internal panel board also be used to feed a backup loads subpanel?
at 2:37 they show you and tell you to look at the information sticker on backside of cover which clearly shows the diagram of Eaton breaker crossing over the phases.
Very cool! I need like 9 of those for my house. Hopefully the 4 stacks will be available by next year...
want*I honestly think the dc expansion won't appear until 2026 at the earliest. They need to saturate the market with PW3 with inverter first.
It is disappointing that we can only use the vehicle’s power to power our house if the power is out. I would love to discharge power during peak power prices, and charge during lower prices. It’s like power arbitrage and helps to reduce strain on the grid.
Does anyone know the polarity of the hard wired comm molex RS485 connector ports in the Tesla Universal Charger? I can't find any documentation about the RS485 connector for comms on the latest gen3 charger.
On the new Gen3 Tesla Wall connector the RS485 connector is different than before. If you look closely it's actually labeled +, -, 12V and GND. I managed to push in 22AWG red into the plus and the black into the minus terminal. It's working!!
any one can help me to download power wall 3 installation manule?

@@tesla_one Thank you
Mine stopped working after update 12.5. Now i get red T every time. All voltages are fine
Not to bad to install, but the limited penetrations are a pain, the glass door needs a foot or cleat at the bottom that would rest on the unit to aid door install, and the new folding cover on the taco makes comm wiring much more annoying since you only have a small one inch opening to route wire through. The version without is better. Also, I hate that they got rid of the protective film on the various glass fronts.
Hi all I have the European version of the Dynamic Power Management and the colors of the cables are brown, black, gray and blue. I have to install it in a single phase system, which cable is for the phase and which for the neutral? Thanks
Brown - L1 Black and Gray - L2 Blue - Neutral That’s European wiring standard.
Does anybody else get stuck in a loop while scaning the qr code on a android?
I have 2 PW2s, a GW2, and a Gen 3 HPWC. Does this mean all I need is a new HPWC when Tesla grants this capability to other Tesla models in the future? Or is my Gen 3 HPWC good?
Could I enter a 50 amp breaker during the commissioning even if I have a 60 amp breaker? I don’t need to charge fast and want the system to run cooler. Thanks
you can lower the amps on the car, no need to do that on the wall connector.
Will this feature get added to the user manual at some point?
Been looking for it too, and of course there's no way to contact tesla and ask anything. This recommend ct is always out of stock.
Still having trouble understanding what that factory jumper is for?
Wish to buy, pls sell to Scandinavia asap.
@tesla_one Is the 80% breaker limit specific to North America, or does it apply to European 3-phase systems as well? Do I need a dedicated 3x20 A breaker for 11 kW or will 3x16 A suffice?
Is the Gateway 2 used with the PW3?
What maintenance is required for the bottom airflow screen?
Will the Power wall 3 export/push power back to a 3rd world country's grid that has "power quality" ( 265 volts sometimes) ?
What would be the benefit if the grid quality is low? Seems counter productive.
Solar Roof only for USA? iam from Germany.
lol please answer this guys question. I have the same problem
They answered. I’m having the same inquiry. Sounds like Gen 3 has to be the tail, but will work.
*promosm* 🙂
Can you daisy chain through a universal connector to a regular wall connector? Or does the second wall connector have to be a universal connector as well? I have one regular (gen3) and was going to add a universal. I would prefer not to have to buy two universal connectors
Universal Wall Connectors are recommended for every unit in the daisy chain except for the last unit, which can be either Universal or Gen 3.
@@tesla_oneso if I only have 2, Connector 1 can be Universal and Connector 2 can be a regular Gen 3?
1:22 TACO confirmed.
0:46 and 1:24 Condones conduit entering from the RIGHT side of the PW3...
When will they be available in Sweden? And how do I become an certified installer?
If it is so easy to install, why does Tesla charge almost 6000 dollars for installation ?
Those are 3rd party installers and they are charging for labor, permits and all other engineering required to make sure your utility company and city/county will let you install the backup battery.
@@LifeLongLearner-om8jx So, this video explains how easy the PW3 is so easy to install but they are charging the same as they did for the not so easy PW2. I am sure the permitting, engineering etc etc are the same for both. So, why is it so expensive to install a PW3?
@@pauld315profit, they gotta pay bills, gas for their trucks, the workers, delivery, office people, etc… how else do you think a business works?
This will be very useful.
If that's a garage space then that MC cable is definitely not rated for protection from physical damage like the EMT. Btw, how come you didn't terminate the conductors?
Emt definitely looks nicer and cleaner even with the conduit bodies.
a real commercial electrician would put that work to shame in 1/2 the time.
Not how I would've done it...
Wish to buy but not available in Scandinavia yet. Why and when ?

Wish to buy but not available in Scandinavia yet. Why and when ?
Because utilities mainly , no high demand in your region and also you need a certified installer to install before even buying it.
@@solargod3671 Scandinavia is connected to Germany so we have the same utility regarding demand I can tell you that the other suppliers are delivering like hell but mostly Chinese. We get 50% of cost as a incentive.
Lol Chinese products sucks and wouldn’t trust them to prevent house fire

Finally Please just specify which messages and protocols are used exactly on the RS-485 terminal (Modbus RTU)? Or allow us a wireless dynamic adjustment like all other wall connectors Active RFID and think certifying the Energy Meter for Europe MID or ME (MessEichrecht) OCPP is also nice too have (: Please implement also Modbus TCP or other dynamic standardised way to regulate the power of the Wall Connector in order to get the incentives in Austria or Germany again! I want to buy two or more Wall connectors but it is not supported with incentives because it’s a rather closed system Please also offer THG free charging kilometres in Austria not only germany
Unfortunately Tesla doesn’t seem to be taking wall connectors seriously in the business space. I sure with they would, there’s a huge need for reasonably priced level 2 business chargers.
@@silverlex1 Now whole Tesla Charging department changed priority to AC L2 scaling.
Is this available to be used with wall connector power share groups?
It is not compatible with power shared wall connectors unfortunately. You would have to set the power share network to a static number that you deem reasonable enough for the home's usage based on the main breaker rating and load calc.
@@fiehlsportthat’s unfortunate, there’s a need to have dynamic power management on large level 2 wall connector deployments.
@@fiehlsport What about connecting it to the first of daisy-chained wall connectors?
needs handles for lifting.
Now if only I could buy all the materials direct from Tesla..
So if you want to backup all 3 phases then you need 3 gateways, 3 powerwalls and 3 single-phase solar inverters. Pity
