I mean, it's so hard to find Metalcore bands with original proposals... But this band is solid and unique, I love the drums, I love the lyrics, the concept, the guitars, the bass is delicious, the voices are on point, I know where you want your sound to go, and I'm loving it!

The relentless, mutating metallic hardcore of Drown the Sun’s first EP ‘Drown the Sun’ pitched them leagues ahead of their peers upon its March 2018 release. Equal parts jarring, industrial noise-rock and punishing hardcore bluster, the reaction to ‘Meine Plage’ said it all. From primetime Hirsch slots, to performing live at the Luise Cult Factory, right through to a SPH nomination, the Nuremberg group are breaking down the walls of metal and hardcore’s past, and charging forwards - last year, they supported Mimics in one of the hottest location in Franconia, and lost none of the energy of the sweat-soaked DIY punk shows they grew up on. Undoubtedly the guiding force in heavy music’s resurgence, as ‘Drown the Sun’’s title-track so eloquently puts it: “So vieles nicht gesehen/ So vieles nicht erlebt/ Doch schon gebrochen an der Schwelle zum Nichts”. Chapeau!
