I took fiddle lessons from Rich Sobel in 1977. I got to play a fiddle tune with Cranberry Lake one time. What a great group! Rich passed along a couple of tunes from when he went and met Jehile. Such great memories of such a great era in Old Tyme music. Thanks for posting this! This is the version of Cold Frosty Morning that I learned from Rich :)

I played in a band called APB (All Purpose Band) with my brother Neal and 2 nephews, Buster and Mike Visage. Neal produced an album on Thumbs and Thumbs produced 5 songs on Neal in Muscle Shoals. Thumbs told jokes all the way there and back to Chattanooga. One of the greatest time's of my life.

I first heard this album in 1995 on a cassette tape my conga drum instructor gave me. I lost the tape a couple of years later and have been looking for it until today. Your father's voice has been in my head for 27 years. I've played in many toques, ceremonies and bembe's since then but Your dad was always the voice I compared all others to. Maybe Lazaro Ros came close....but not by much. I wish you much ache. And my your dad rest in peace. ❤
