You did a great job on your wardrobe. I love how everything seems to go together. I started working on my mine yesterday - though it's difficult since we are still in a rental in between homes.

What brand are the underbed storage boxes that you use ? They look a good size.

I’m 59 now. Started over age 54 after divorce. Not easy but I do like my own space. I’m in a house but the upkeep, mowing lawns etc is getting too overwhelming for me. A big, bright apartment with a lovely balcony sounds very nice.

Great job with your curated capsule. You have such great taste and nice choice of colors! Wish you could help me with mine! I ditched a lot of my dressy work clothes and other stuff I was saving from my youth. More needs to go to make space for more casual, comfortable clothes. So hard to find quality items that look nice and will last!

Brava, Lilibet. It is so difficult to declutter clothes and you have managed to have such a beautiful, versatile wardrobe for all seasons with such a small number of items, something I am yet to achieve. Knowing your colour, style and preferences as well as buying quality and items to fill specific gaps really seems to be the way to go. You will find it so much easier to get dress and to put away clean washing after all your work. Too many choices and trying to squash things into overcrowded spaces is very energy sapping. I hope you had a good sleep, you earned it.

Lots of good advice here. We've had stuff in storage for 6 months as we wait for our apartment to be finished and I know I'll be taking a REAL hard look at everything we pull out from there. Even though I've been decluttering for years and did a major declutter before moving out of our home (and into a rental) I'm sure there will be more to let go of. The longer I'm a miniamlist to more I want to have less stuff. Love the new serving ware.

Any possibility of making a second hanging bar under part of the original one? Maybe move your shoes to a divided vertical hanging container or tweaking the shoes above? There are bars that hang from the upper one, although I have no idea of their quality. When funds exist 😉, I believe a closet makeover should be on the renovation list. I’d love to see it done.

Your plant seems to be losing turgor pressure, so maybe regularly watering is needed. Turgor pressure is the fluid pressing against cell walls.

Your new purchases are lovely and I hope you will enjoy them for many years. Grass plants are so beautiful and lovely to touch. Well done reviving the flower and for keeping your ferns looking so good. I watched this video on Sunday night just after the storm. It was like a tornado up here on the 17th floor. We were enjoying watching it until we realised that our balcony furniture was being picked up by the wind and I had to rush out in the wind and rain to stop it flying over onto the street. Did you need to move anything off your balcony?

I would suggest you name your plant after a composer or musician as that’s such a big part of your life.

How often do you declutter? I usually do my wardrobe after each season and donate what I haven't worn. The house is a little different usally once a year, while my husband is out otherwise, he wants to keep it. Except with the old glasses, he let me get rid of them and use the good ones we have, at our age our if we don't use them now we never will.

I don’t love my toilet plunger, but I keep it.

We downsized in to a townhouse but it didn’t work for us, so we upsized to a big house again. If I was on my own I’d love to have a small apartment or cottage. Lilibet, you have great style and are so calming and lovely. 🥰

Thank you for sharing. I moved from a 3000 square foot home to a 2 bedroom apartment with my husband. If we need to we can fit in a one bedroom and I prefer it be in the 750 square foot range. I would say if you are storing something that has a function and it is not doing it's function, then time to decide what to do with it. If it's dishes use them, if it is clothing, wear it. If all these functional things are sentimental then display them. If they are so precious, why are they in a storage box? Please know that when I downsized, there were some tears at times. For me the downsizing was in layers with the first attempt being the largest due to a move.

Hi Lilibet, I love your style and you have created a beautiful home. With all the recent improvements it has a real warmth and homeyness as well as practical functionality. I'm really excited that you will be sharing your decorating tips. I don't have much confidence when it comes to decorating and tend towards very simple and plain interiors as they feel spacious and relaxing to me, but I'm keen to learn how I could improve. As you know, we sold all our furniture before downsizing as it wouldn't fit or suit our new home. We are still shopping for furniture items and awaiting the delivery of others. Can't wait as the uncomfortable beds and chairs are doing our backs in. However, we are enjoying a new round coffee table from the same place you bought your dining chairs. Good morning Lilibet, this morning I woke up and watched your latest video while I had breakfast. You have such a talent for making videos that are enjoyable and interesting, even when they are about mundane or unpleasant tasks such as decluttering, cleaning and organising. I particularly enjoyed the piano background music you chose. Your apartment is looking really lovely and I am always amazed at how much you are able to keep in such a small space without it looking cluttered. Do you enjoy thinking up better ways of organising? I find it is fun to be creative to solve problems and make a space more functional and attractive. This is something I'm having to do a lot of in our new apartment as I'm finding the architects have not considered furniture and storage dimensions when building alcoves and storage spaces. I hope you felt energised and ready for the week ahead after all your work cleaning and re-organising as well as producing this video.

You are so good attending to all your little fix-it programs. How awful having to deal with a neighbours smoke. We are moving into an apartment for the first time soon and I hope it's not something that impacts me sitting on our verandah or having windows open. Oh, I like that anti-slip mat - will keep that in mind in case I need it.

Hi Lilibet, just started to follow you recently. For the bag, I would put a larger 3 M hooks on the cupboard door so as you open that’s the first thing you reach and you can start packing what you need to take with you when you go out. For the extractor filter, I usually just soak the filter in the sink with boiling hot water, washing up liquid and some bi carb soda

I sympathise! My neighbours like wood fired bbq and pizza ovens, it is not fun, but I got a Dyson air purifier and use the air con in a locked up house. It is not ideal,but better than calling the ambulance. Well done solving your problems .

It's really not fair that you should have expenses and trouble because of your neighbour doing what they shouldn't. And smokers wonder why the non-smokers "haunt" them... 🙄

I totally sympathize with the smoke. We had a next door neighbor that smoked and I hated it coming in. He has since died and now the new neighbors don’t smoke thank you Lord!

What a lovely voice you have Lilibet! It was nice of you to let us enjoy your singing and playing. Oh cigarette smoke is one of the worse things. I've never been tolerable to it as it makes me nauseous and if I'm around it too long gives me a headache .Having two chronic pain conditions and with the medications I take for them, I'm not supposed to be around cigarette smoke.I have my lungs checked because of one of my conditions as well. I used to live in an apartment and had a neighbor who smoked on their balcony and I would have to go in every time they came out. It was so annoying. I live in a house now and my neighbor next door is a chain smoker. I have air purifiers in my home and couldn't do without them. I'm so glad you have that air purifier and I hope it helps keep the air in your home safe.

Another very interesting vlog, Lilibet. As a person who has allergies and asthma, I feel unwell when people around me smoke. Smoking is a terrible addiction and I feel for those in its grip, but it is so unfair that their habit is impacting you in your home, especially when you have to watch your health. The air purifier is a great idea and may also cut down on your need to dust and keep your apartment smelling free from cooking odours. We have bought one for use in our new home (we get the keys today and move-in tomorrow). Plants are also said to be great at improving air quality. Nasa claims that the Sansevieria (also known as Mother-in-Law Tongue or Snake Plant) is the best air-purifier and it is very easy to grow. I'm glad that you were able to clear the water in the dishwasher and that there was no need for a repairman. You have such a great can-do attitude.
