Dutch Profiles are short documentaries about architects, graphic, product and fashion designers in the Netherlands. The interviews with both well-known and upcoming Dutch designers focus on their conceptual approach and the context of their projects.
Dutch Profiles Introduction: Dutch Design Decoded
Traditionally, the Dutch have a strong faith in the capacity of design to build a sustainable society. For centuries they have used creativity, technological innovation and social collaboration to create - and protect - half their country from water. Dutch designers combine high-tech innovation with careful craftsmanship, radical aesthetics with social engagement, experiment with pragmatism, thoughtful analysis with energetic resolve. Their integral and multidisciplinary approach to complex issues generates new ideas, new technologies, and ultimately new and sustainable solutions.
In this introduction 50 plus key figures in the design world explain Dutch design to you. Ik dacht eerst dat dit satire was, maar dit is echt. Huiveringwekkend, maar deze mannen denken echt dat ze goed bezig zijn. Aan het eind met een grote glimlach zeggen dat het jammer is dat er nog persoonlijke expressie in architectuur zit.

I absolutely loved the Carver One, but this electric Carver S+ is not in the same league as the Carver One, it’s electric motor is designed for Holland which is Flat, so if you live in a country with Hills beware that the motor has very little torque and quickly loses power and slows down quickly, also it’s top speed of 48mph is to slow for modern day traffic it should be 55mph like the new Mico-lino 👍🏻

Hello from Michigan from a descendant of a Laarman who settled Holland, Michigan...the first baby born in Holland, Michigan, was a Laarman in 1847...😊actually it was a relative of my husband...I have relatives in Enschede and Oldenzaal.
So I like the design, but I don’t like that it’s powered by a gasoline engine. So if they get rid of that air polluting gasoline burning engine, there would be no need for a transmission, so put in an updated forward thinking modern battery powered computer driven model, and I’d be interested in buying one! I also I don’t like the steering wheel or the handlebars, so throw that out as well, and put in a drive by wire stick drive, and I also want screens not analog gages! Cheers!🥂
