I love this stuff.. I remember the Wirral Pipe Band around it's formation, walking around the cricket field at the top of Cadburys in Moreton. I work in the last bastion of Cadburys up here in cakes.. Them bagpipes reflect the lament of anyone who remembers this place, when it was the place to work.. Believe me, now it isn't

Fiddlers Rally is such an awesome tune. OK it's got eight separate parts with no repeats, but so do many other Pipe tunes. I've played it now for many years and the parts are not hard to remember, if you practice. But I do have to admit that Duncan Johnston plays it splendidly!!

Could someone please tell me where the band now meets?

He changed the face of piping forever. His compositions are already standard tunes in any session. I was devastated when he tragically took his own life. An inspiration and by all accounts just a really nice guy.

You have grade 4, 3, 2, 1 then you have Gordan Duncan, whenever i tell people about him i always say, he was like the elvis pressley of the piping world, a man who changed everything but also a gentleman a lovely down to earth guy who is missed by so so many, the Gordan Duncan documentary on you tube is great. His spirit will live on forever for as long as there is one man or woman who plays the pipes we will always remember one of our own, his spirirt lives on in all of us whenever we pick up our pipes ☮️❤️🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🕉

Jimmy ive loved ub40 since yous guys started out but it has to be the original band members and ali Campbell on lead vocals but 2023 your with robins band members and ali Campbell is doing his own thing but no offence jimmy that night yous spent in the prison for charity has aged you about 20yrs lol and that was only one night on a serious note well done for the cash yous raised for the kids and love brum once again yous are welcome to spend the night in a scottish jail for charity only if yous want lol robin you really wore the orange boiler suite well and matt doyle too lol

What was the name of the first tune? I learned the A part from a piping demo 28 years ago but never complete or its name.

Strike-in was a bit rough, but other than that, REALLY liked this one!

Interesting reading the comments from 12, 13 years ago. Thanks for putting the video up Chris. I was PM of the band then. Walter got me to take the role on when I returned to the UK from South Africa in 86. I'd previously played with Mounts from 69 until 77 in gr 1 when I emigrated. However, I returned to SA in 89. During my time as PM I did manage to coax several of the players who'd left back to the band including John Marshall who put a good drum corp together. Mounts were still in gr 2 at that time and my last contest was at Annan where we won gr2 in 88. Peter Duncan
